September Birthdays

There are so many September birthdays! Some of my favorite people share birthdays in September with me! Stephanie, Erynn, Dakota, Kyle, Kyley, Melanie etc...
I LOVE BIRTHDAYS!
They are the only day of the year completely dedicated to you, or they should be in my opinion...
We got some of our friends together to go to dinner in celebration of all the September birthdays in our group.  Kyle was so excited that we got to go to Chilies even though he didn't pick the restaurant this time!
I LOVE MAKING TIME FOR FRIENDS!

We celebrated Kyle and Kyley's birthday in Elkridge with cake and ice cream.
I LOVE ICE CREAM!
Kyle got the police gloves, handcuffs and Utah shirts that he wanted :)
And Kyley got the new i-pod that she wanted!
I LOVE GIVING GIFTS PEOPLE LIKE!
Isn't is so fun to be a twin?!
They are probably both sick of me asking that, but I still think it's fun.

For Kyle's birthday we went with Jon and Sydney to Tucanos.
Mango sushi= so good! and the 12 chickens that died for us to eat all the chicken hearts!
If you have never had their passion fruit mousse make sure you get some to go next time.
It is wonderful.
That night was the BYU vs Utah game and I was so happy they won because that makes Kyle so happy! Didn't want Kyle to be unhappy on his birthday!

The Friday before my birthday I invited friends over for birthday cake and ice cream.  Not just for my birthday, but also because everyone kept saying they wanted to see our house :)

Thank you so much Whitney, Preston, all my moms and dads, Kyley, Jordan, Jake, Emma, Marie, Mike and Katey for coming over to wish me a happy birthday!
Taking time to see me is what means way more to me than presents.
I did get some cute decorations for my house from all the girls in Kyle's family and Katey though!
Thank you!
Thank you mom Annette for the yummy birthday dinner yesterday and gift!
(My favorite Turkey and Mashed Potatoes)
My friend Jaycee also took me to lunch that week as well as my mom Tammy and Grandma Judy giving nice cards with birthday money.
I LOVE BEING REMEMBERED ON MY BIRTHDAY!
Not like the fake remembered on facebook (which is why I hide my birthday), but the sincere remembered by people who actually know when my birthday is cause they want me to have a happy one.

Tammy, Jake and Emma all slept over Friday so we could go to Provo Temple on my birthday Saturday!
(last year I was at Timpanogos Temple on my birthday with my dads family :)
I got my favorite, Graham Canyon ice cream at the BYU creamery on the way home.

I was disappointed with myself for missing the General Relief Society Broadcast that night, but I really wanted to spend my birthday with Kyle.
He took me to Pizza Factory for a delicious dinner and a Never on Sunday Sundae for dessert, then we went to see Monsters University.
We fell asleep on the couch together cuddling with Kitty and watching Friends.
I LOVE FRIENDS!
For my birthday Kyle got me a cute new Maxi skirt, a watch, a new camera bag and a cute camera strap!
I LOVE KYLE!!
Thank you so much for getting me everything I wanted :)
And thank you Utah for not having a football game on the weekend of my birthday! lol
Hopefully next year I won't be sick so that Kyle will kiss me.

Yellowstone: Play Together, Stay Together

I went to Yellowstone for the first time over Labor Day with my moms family.
I was bummed that Kyle wasn't able to come, it's the longest time we have been apart since getting married and it's never as fun without him!
The drive was a lot longer than I anticipated though! If you ask mom it's only 25 minutes away.
Lots closer than if you go to Bryce Canyon, where everything is an hour away!

We got to slowly drive through a herd of buffalo on the road.  We hoped to also see a wolf or a bear, but those animals we did not see.
No Kyle, we will not have a buffalo head on our wall, ever.

This is where we found the yellow in Yellowstone.  The hike taught me that I am so out of shape, but I thought it was worth it.

Dragon's Mouth
Who wants to mud wrestle in the scalding hot sulfur mud?!

A herd of elk wandered right through our camp on the way out.  They let us get as close as we wanted to so that was pretty awesome!

Thank you so much mom for all the fun you planned for our Labor Day weekend!
More pictures are on my photography blog!

I was in such a hurry to get home.  I had so much homework, I missed my husband like crazy and I haven't been home before 9pm since we moved to our new house.
When I got home I fell in love with Kyle all over again.
It was one of those days that every girl DREAMS about!
He had hung up all our pictures, cleaned the house (including the litter box), done 2 loads of laundry, put up the new fan in our bedroom, the bed was made (he does that every day), a candle was lit AND dinner was on the table!!
Ahh I love him!
BEST. HUSBAND. EVER.

End of Summer

Well, school has started and summer is now over.
It was a good last week of summer though.
We had a chocolate fountain party with all my old roommates from the Raintree days, even though Kyle says I can now only have 3 parties a year...
Last year we had a green dinner party, a birthday party, a Halloween party and a New Years Party!  I wouldn't have to throw parties all the time if I was invited to something to do on the holidays, I don't want to sit home when there is fun to be had!
Chocolate Fountain parties are always good though.  We dipped strawberries, bananas, rice crispies, marshmellows, cream puffs, donut holes, cinnamon bears, gummy bears, cookie dough and pretzels!
So YUMMY!
We also went to Seven Peaks with Hayden, Karissa, Jon, Sydney and Cooper!  First time all summer that Kyle used his pass.
Last weekend we went camping with Marie, Mike, EmmaLee and Trevor at Silver Lake.  We were lucky we didn't get hit with the massive hail storm that happened on Saturday though!
The tin foil dinners and Reeses s'mores were so good.  We hadn't made tin foil dinners since we hiked to silver lake the year before our missions.

The next morning we hurried home cause it was MOVING DAY!
I am so happy we got into our townhome before school started! Kyle's whole family and most of my family was all there to help us and we appreciate it so much!
Thank you everyone for coming to help us!
I am such a good packer :) Kyle was not impressed that everything he tried looking for was packed the week before we moved though!
We also now have a guest bedroom so anyone that wants to come stay with us is welcome!
We have 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 bath, fenced area in the back, a dishwasher, air conditioning, and covered parking :)
We sure will miss living by good friends at the six-plex in Orem.
Tammy brought our cat down to us that day too!
He still doesn't have a name, but he is turning into a good cat.
We gave him a bath the first day we were there and I was shocked at how much he didn't freak out!
I know Kyle secretly loves him cause he is now saying that he wouldn't mind if he stayed inside all the time :)
I haven't been to school full time since before my mission and it's a little overwhelming.
Every time I start school I wonder why I picked Photography.
I LOVE taking pictures, but my teachers keep telling me not to take pictures of cliché things, but I guess I am a cliché person cause that is what I like taking pictures of!  I want to be a portrait photographer, but have yet to learn how to do that well here at college.
It's all about being creative, unique and telling us what is interesting to photograph, but I am NOT a super creative, out there person.
I am a logical, organized, everything needs to have a place, there is one right answer kind of person.
Art is not my thing and nor is making a wire sculpture or carving a stone or painting.
I like capturing memories, not searching out stories and finding reasons why something is cool photograph.
