It's Bananas!

Kasen's class was required to enter the STEM Fair and the experiment that Kasen came up with was seeing what makes bananas ripen faster.
Josh, Oliver and Addie came to visit one week this month too! So we all went to the Curiosity Museum and Kasen sat on the sloth hang long enough to max out the time and wanted a picture.
Josh, Ben and Jordan also came over Friday for a game night! We played Chameleon, Pirates Cove and Catan until after 1am- it was so fun! "Stones! More stones!"
We all went to Mo'Bettahs after, where Kolt spilled a cup of water and got lost outside. Later that week he spilled 2 cups of water at Rio Acai, when I took Ashley out for her birthday. Then he got lost at Kasen's basketball game and again after church, when we found him in the parking lot. He is so stressful the way he just runs away and then thinks it's funny to hide when we look for him.
Kasen finally had a successful 3D print! He tried a boat for Kolt 4x, but moved on to his joy stick fidget and it worked!
Tai invited her friend Roxie over, with her American Girl Doll and it was Dejavu seeing them playing together. Like looking and me and my friend Ashley 27 years ago with our American Girl Dolls.
We also went over to the Eason's for dinner and Tai and Quinn sang Golden for us. Tai was loving that karaoke machine.

All the cousins have gone sledding together in January, the last couple years, but this year there has been ZERO snow! So on MLK Day we all went swimming instead of sledding. It was packed.
Kohen has done 4 sessions of swimming lessons, over 2 summers, but do NOT let him swim without a life jacket yet. Kolt was cracking me up when he'd jump into the pool, but grab the side on his way in and just shuffle around the whole edge of the pool.

We spent the last day of the month at Kasen's Buzzbiators First LEGO League competition, where his team won the Innovative Project Award. Good job!
That day Kohen also got to go with Tuck to see the Guns and Hoses hockey game. He said he cheered for the firefighters cause they won.
Later we hosted a couples, neighborhood game night where we played Ransom Notes and Hues and Cues with 4 other couples. Wouldn't mind regular game nights with our neighbor friends.

Besides that, it's still cold and there is still no snow at all. Happy January!

So Far, So Good

Working on our goals asap over here. Before Covid we had gone to the temple together nearly every month since we got married. We lost our streak once covid shut everything down, had a couple more babies, but this year we made a goal to go to the temple every month again! So day 2 we were on it.

This cutie has not had a daytime accident since before Christmas! Woo Hoo! We still put him in diapers at night, but he is rocking being potty trained. I never even ask him anymore, he just goes.
I love the way he says, "uh-wewear."
And he is just so much fun! He came in to my room naked the other morning and when he turned to leave I yelled, "buttcheeks!" and he turned to smile at me and then slowly walked the rest of the way out of my room backwards.
-When I put his pajamas on at night he says, "warm cozy"
-When I read 'Guess How Much I Love You' all he wants to do is find all the "mu-trooms"
-His new favorite book is his Toy Story 3 Look and Find, but sometimes I turn 2 pages at a time... It only took him a couple days to catch me, and now he checks to make sure I only turn one page at a time.
-When I have to wake him up from his nap to pick kids up from school I absolutely love how he holds on to me like a little monkey baby. It is my favorite.
-He loves story time at the library so every time we even drive past the library he cries, "liblelly!"
-When he wants to eat candy, he lifts up his shirt and tells me, "tummy thirsty"
-He loves Tai! Whenever she leaves a room he runs after her, "Tai wait! I love you!"
-He can still throw a mean tantrum though. But he knows that he needs to stop crying to get what he wants so when he decides to be done, he wipes his eyes and says, "baby Kolt stop. All done."

And he loves his new swing he got for Christmas! He has bruises though cause he likes to throw it and then run and jump onto the ottoman before it comes back to hit him. Sometimes it hits him.
Kyle didn't want the big kids on the swing, or touching my new Minky blanket...
But those are some hard battles to win.
"I think we are going to get in trouble for this! Don't show dad!"

We went to sing Happy Birthday to Grandpa on his birthday and Kyle got to go fishing with Kyley a couple times over the break too.
So far, so good 2026

Happy New Year!

I think this was the first year we took Christmas down before New Year's Day. I was ready. And it was nice to have it gone for our New Years Eve party! Kyley and Lyndsey's families both came over so we busted out the chocolate fountain again- the kids favorite!

Kyley and Jordan taught us all how to play Crokinole while the kids all played Skee Ball and Kohen got 100 5x! He was killing it and was so excited! Especially cause Lyndsey kept telling him we owed him money for it. Haha
We also played a little Rack-o, but Kyle didn't like that one as much. He loved Crokinole. Lyndsey flicked so hard she said her finger was hurting too bad though.

We all love Kyle's Aztec party pants.

I was planning to put Kolt to bed once he started throwing fits, but he never did so he just stayed up with us till after midnight. Party Party!
The ball dropped and there was confetti everywhere!
Cheers to the new year!

Kyley and Jordan also brought some fireworks to do outside and Kolt was loving the fireworks. He wanted to hold a Roman Candle and kept saying, "so fun."
Kyley and Jordan left, Kyle went out to make sure (cause last year they surprised him with a sleepover), came in and locked the door.
I snuck back and unlocked it cause SURPRISE slumber party 2.0!! They slept over again! Haha
We love surprising Kyle with sleep overs.

Welcome 2026!
