Spring Break at 31 Weeks!

My last spring break ever was the best! I got to spend eleven whole nights with Kyle in Cedar City!
It was Easter and General Conference and Dad, Mom, Ben, EmmaLee, and Steph-a-Rubis Gooberstein  came down to spend that with us.
Mom is so sweet and made Easter baskets for everyone! She got me the stuffed elephant that I wanted from Pottery Barn for Kasen's nursery!
Kristi is so sweet and got us the perfect blanket to match his room too!  I can't wait for them to have a baby!
A few weeks ago when her and Jake were down for EmmaLee's birthday she did my nails for me.  It was the first time Kyle had ever seen my nails painted and I bring this up now because when he noticed them he told me it looked like I had tiny Easter eggs on my fingers! lol
This picture makes me miss wearing my wedding ring...
We dyed Easter eggs Saturday night and I really like the tie dye kit we used.  I have never dyed such fancy Easter eggs before!

Conference of course was worth watching as usual!  I have to stop myself from taking notes on everything they say and remind myself I can re-read it when the Ensign comes out.

"This Easter I thank Him and the Father that gave Him to us that Jesus still stands triumphant over death, although he stands on wounded feet.  This Easter I thank Him and the Father that gave him to us that He still extends unending grace although he extends it with pierced palms and scarred wrists. This Easter I thank Him and the Father that gave Him to us that we can sing before a sweat stained garden, a nail driven cross, and a gloriously empty tomb- how great, how glorious, how complete redemptions grand design where justice, love and mercy meet in harmony divine." - Elder Holland

Tuesday we went and got our last ultrasound!  I have now gained 31 pounds as of week 31- pretty consistent! Kasen is measuring over 4 pounds and 2 weeks ahead, I sure hope he comes early!  We are supposed to count kicks once a day to make sure he moves 10-15x in 1hr- Piece of cake! He moves like crazy! Pretty sure he is trying to escape most of the time.  I also know now why pregnant women waddle.  It is not because their tummy is so huge, it is because the bones in my lower back and my pelvic bone feels like it is breaking apart every time I walk or roll over in bed!!

Anyway, the bad news is that I was one number above the limit of not having gestational diabetes so I have to do the glucose test again.  This time I have to fast 12 hours, drink twice as much of the sugar drink and stay at the hospital for 3hrs!
Besides kicking himself in the face (that is his foot, not his hand) we got to see him open his eye and open and close his mouth on the  monitors!
Look at his little smile!  Kyle swears he can hear the heartbeat when he lays on my stomach sometimes.

After our appointment we headed to Sand Hollow to go camping!  Neither of us had ever been there and we decided to camp on the beach, but it was so windy! Sand EVERYWHERE.

We made mushroom, avocado, swiss burgers, but Kyle said he had sand in his… I thought they were yummy!  We are such good campers :)  We played Nertz and Gin until the sun went down.
And Kyle is a good tent setter upper because 20mph winds blew ALL night long!  I'm pretty sure that we may have been picked up in a tornado at one point and taken to a place near Oz, however, we did not wake up in Munchkin Land.

Throw back to our first Spring Break adventures in 2009 when we camped at the Hot Springs and did baptisms for the dead in the St. George Temple!
6 years later we are still doing the same thing: camping and going to the temple :)
