September

$5 Tuesdays at Thanksgiving Point this month! So we went with Heidi to the Butterfly Biosphere one week and to the Curiosity Museum the next. I don't think we've ever held so many butterflies as we did this time either. All Kolt wanted to do though was splash in the muddy water on the floor...
At the Curiosity Museum, Kolt got soaked at the water table and was loving it.
We had to stay out of the house one day that I was having the carpets cleaned and we ended up going to 3 different play grounds and Kolt fell asleep in the swing!
He loves blowing on all of his food, climbing up anything and everything and squeals with delight whenever we walk past a dog.

Kasen also got to go with Jett one day to see the helicopter fly-in at the Cedar Valley High School.
Kasen started Running Club, on top of LEGO League and is wanting to audition for the school play too. He asked to be in crochet club, but I told him we can't do so many things! He has piano and primary activity days so we're running out of hours in the day for all the things he wants to do. Also, on the days he doesn't have any homework leftover to finish from school he gets to work on DuoLingo and chose to learn Portuguese! He's loving that!
Kasen has also discovered a love for chili dogs. It's the only thing he ever wants to eat for dinner now.

Kohen got to go on his first field trip! We visited the new Fire Station. I'd never been to the fire station either and man do they have cushy jobs hanging out in lazy boys, cooking food, working out and sleeping there at the Fire House.
Every time we drive past Camp Williams Kohen insists that he wants to go to what he thinks is "The Incredibles" house. It's the Veterans Cemetery. But I finally stopped there to show him anyway and asked if he liked the Incredibles house. But "It's not the Incredibles house!"
He's also decided that he likes to sleep in this box. He's been sleeping in it all week!
He is so funny to talk to these days. One day he was asking me if we can please not go to the snakey mountains. And then told me "I like the dentist cause the guy that talks to me puts water in my mouth and then takes me to get a surprise." He was very concerned that I didn't get a surprise at the dentist.
Kyle's been able to go to a poker night at Hayden's and shooting with him this month. Spending some quality time. Gotta make all the time count.
Happy September

Thirty-Six

Last week was birthday week! Kyle and I are 36 and we celebrated all week long. Monday night we had birthday cake for Kyle (Thank you Kyle DeVaney). While I was gone over the weekend his friend, Christian, door dashed ice cream to him too.
I love this picture so much! Kasen always worrying about someone getting hurt and making sure Kolt doesn't touch fire and Mommy Tai trying to keep Kohen from blowing out Kyle's candles!
Tuesday night we went to the temple and I was reminded of how there are always more blessings than burdens and that we can always find joy regardless of what is happening in our lives when we focus on Jesus Christ. And how much I just love Kyle! We even got to go to dinner at Olive Garden afterwards.
Friday afternoon Mom Tammy took me out to lunch for my birthday and we got some Thai food at Aroon Thai Kitchen. They didn't have mango sticky rice though! Bummer.
That night we went on a date to Tucanos with Kyley and Jordan for our free birthday meals. Hayden and Karissa surprised us and came to dinner too. Kyle always orders passion fruit mousse, but they didn't have any spoons to take to go. Jordan went and took one of their soup spoons for us though! Our new birthday dessert spoon, shhhhh....
After dinner we went to see the documentary, "Am I a Racist?" and Kyley made me cookies for my birthday!
My parents watched the kids for us so when we got home Annette had the table all decorated for my birthday the next morning! So nice of her. When I woke up the next morning, Kyle had French toast made for breakfast. Delicious!
And Kohen picked me some flowers.
Later, we went to go drive the Alpine Loop to see the fall leaves and walk around Cascade Springs. Along with the rest of the state! The DeVaney's met us up there, but there we SO many people. I don't ever remember crowds being there when I've been before. And they cut down the branch that Kyle and I hung on when we went there before our missions!

2000ish
We stopped in the canyon for a picnic though and then on the way home we picked up Tapa Sushi for dinner.
With Kazookie's for dessert!
My Grandma Judy called and sent me a birthday card, Heidi brought me a Mango Swig drink, Kelsey dropped off cookies and I have lunch dates all next week.
I have the best friends and family that make my birthday so fun! Thank you everyone!

*Update:
Emma took me out for sushi, Ashley brought kolaches to the park, Heidi took me to Village Baker and Colette brought me Costa Vida to the park. Earlier this month Becca bought me lunch at Zupas too.
The best friends!
