Glasses and Girl Dates

Kolt has glasses! At his last well check visit last year they recommended seeing an eye doctor so once Kyle was able to add vision to our health insurance plan we made him an appointment. They said he's right on the boarder of needing them, but does have astigmatism so they recommended glasses.

I have no idea what that even means. Nobody in my family, or Kyle's family growing up had glasses. So we are learning! I think they help prevent him from developing a lazy eye?
We got in the car to show dad and he said, "Kolt tiny baby super hero glasses!"
Kasen, Tai and Kohen have been so sweet trying to pump him up to wear them. Telling him they are blue super Sonic glasses to help him run fast and how cool they are.
I paid extra for the highest level of scratch resistance there is and not even 9 hours after getting the glasses, Kolt has scratched them all over with his little baby beaver teeth!
The next day, I was stoked for a girls night to go to Katey's watercolor class to paint Valentine's day cards, because not only did Kolt scratch his glasses that week, he also clogged the sink with a whole roll of toilet paper, flooded the kitchen counter, fell in a ditch of dirty water behind Heidi's house, called 911 on my phone enough times that I had to call and talk to dispatch, and got poop on the carpet which Kohen then stepped in.
I don't usually like painting, but it was fun being there with friends making these. And Katey's sugar cookies were some of the best I have ever had! We stayed late and all went out to dinner together after the class. Love girls nights.
Tai got to go on 2 dates over the weekend too. A Daddy Daughter Date with Kyle to go ice skating and then Grammy's birthday date to go see Frozen at Hale Center Theater. Lucky girl!

I'm still the Relief Society Secretary and for our activity this month we had a Galentine's Soda Bar and some get to know you questions. We broke our record by having 20 people there too!
We took Emma out to lunch for her birthday/Galentine's. Tried a new place called Twigs.
Then my last Galentine's get together was with Kyle's sisters, at Kyley's house this time. She had everything for us to decorate sugar cookies and I tried using royal icing. Haven't done that since I tried making cookies for Kasen's 2nd birthday party, which were also basketballs!
I also let Lyndsey cut like 6 inches off of my hair... which Kyley insisted on fixing for me because according to Lyndsey, "It's not supposed to be in a straight line." Haha
We also picked out more matching swimsuits for Flaming Gorge again this year! Yay!
Today we got together again to visit Dakota's grave and then go play at Quail Orchard Park for a little while.
Love all the fun gal time!

Sports x3

For the last couple months, we have been juggling sports.

Kasen and Kohen are both doing Jr. Jazz basketball again and Tai tried volleyball for the first time!

Kyle has been helping Trevor coach Kohen's team, Eagle Crew, so Kohen loves that. I just wish some of the games and/or practices were at the same place. Between their 3 sports we are bouncing between 7 schools! Kasen plays at either Frontier or Sage Canyon, but his practices are at Eagle Valley. Tai plays at Desert Sky, but her practices are at Blackridge or Sage Canyon. And Kohen plays at either Brookhaven or Silver Lake. It's crazy over here!

Valentine's Day at Kohen's game he made his first basket during a game! Go Kohen!

He's definitely not at aggressive as I thought he would be with sports though. He's not all about the hustle, but walks around with his arms in his jersey... Cracks me up! At their age, they aren't supposed to steal the ball, but he was being slow enough that the ball got stolen from him one game and he looked at Trevor, "They aren't supposed to steal the ball!"

Tuck and Avery are on his team this year though so that's fun.

You can tell he gets super invested... Haha

Kasen's team is the Hogriders and he has been more aggressive than I think he will be. He doesn't shoot much, but he likes taking the ball down the court. Logan Stubbs is on his team so it's been nice to have a carpool buddy for practices.
His last game they won 27-18 and it was Kasen that made this last free throw of the game! He did so great! Go Kasen! They only lost one of their 8 games. One of their games, the other team hadn't shown up so they were just going to play a scrimmage, but 10 minutes in, the other team came to play. Even though our team was tired from the scrimmage they still won 27-7!

Tai's Volleyball team is called the Emerald Pickles and Tai has improved so much! She's not scared to go after the ball nearly as much as she was during their first game. She is so stinkin cute too because she always looks at us after she tries to hit the ball or does hit it and has this mix of nervous, but proud look on her face, like she is excited about the attention, but embarrassed by it too and doesn't know what to do except scrunch her nose up and rock back and forth.
Go Tai!
Her friend Jaci got to play on her team with her and we found out that her coach was also a Liddiard so we are distantly related to them somehow.
Kolt keeps telling us that he wants to play too, but I told him not until he's 5. "Kolt 5 play volleyball!"
It's been fun watching them all. Thank you everyone that has come to watch them play too.
