28 on the 28th!

I turned 28 on the 28th this year (AND was 28.5 weeks pregnant)! That will only happen once.
So I stole an idea I got from my wedding photography teacher, Justin Hackworth, and decided to document my birthday with 28 selfies.
I never take selfies.
We spent the night before my birthday at Josh and Marissa's apartment in Cedar City so that I could do a photo shoot.  Since Kasen stayed home I didn't even get out of bed until 9:30 that morning!
Unfortunately there is no Kneaders in Cedar City (for their all you can eat french toast).  And Great Harvest was closed.
So we went to the Grind and got a smoothie and a bagel.  A major part of Birthdays is the food.  We hardly ever eat out, it's saved for special occasions.  So when they happen we go all out!
The first 8 people to wish me a happy birthday!  Thanks guys! Always means a lot when people tell me happy birthday cause I think they should be a big deal and make sure to always wish those I love a special birthday!
We got ready to go to St. George.  Our first stop, the TEMPLE!

Usually Kyle likes to listen to sports radio, but that day we listened to my Wicked soundtrack!
He likes listening to that with me too.  And I LOVE singing along to it!

Here is my 28.5 week pregnant belly!  It's all I can see.
Bye Bye feet!
And good bye to being able to roll over in the night without feeling like my pelvic bone won't crack in half.  Hurts so bad!
I'm a chapstick girl.  Spearmint.
Spearmint gum and spearmint chapstick.  I don't waste money on lipstick.  (Sorry to the lipsense craze goin on right now!)
The only bad part of the day was trying to get dressed in the car.  I already don't like changing clothes, but to do it in a car while you're pregnant is the worst, most uncomfortable thing!

I had really been looking forward to this dinner!  All you can eat SUSHI at Sakura!  We ate about $75 worth of sushi and it was delicious.  Especially the Fisher Roll.  We ate 2 of those ones.

More pics of the belly.  I especially like this out of focus one because poor Kyle tries.  He hates being in pictures so instead I asked him to take the pictures of me, but sometimes it doesn't work out.
Bless his heart for trying!
That night we went to our last Tuacahn play!
TARZAN
It was good, but Hutchback is still our favorite one that we saw!  Being in the front rows didn't hurt either :) Seat cushions and water bottles all the way!
And a strawberry lemonade!
We drove home right after the play.  Got home around 2:30am!
Kyle didn't even hit the rumble strips once though, I'm so proud!

For my birthday Kyle got me a couple pairs of earrings and a shirt!  I've been wearing the diamond studs, that he bought me when we were dating, since before Kasen was born.
Kasen has already tried playing with them a few times.
This is the one section of my face that hasn't been taken over by pregnancy acne, but Tai moves like crazy and that is exciting!

So there you have 28 selfies of me.  On my 28th birthday. On the 28th of September. While 28 weeks pregnant!
They project didn't go as well as I hoped, but it was fun to try!
Documenting is always worth it.

September

It had been 3 years since all of us girls got together!  Ashley and I had moved to opposite ends of the state, but we are all living in Utah County again and since Erynn, Kyley and I all have September birthdays we made it an excuse to get together!  It was so great to have a girls date, even though Kyle thought I was mean for not taking Kasen to the park with us!  I enjoy a break when the opportunity is there though. #dontrunbyducks #idontlikeclowns #jimmyjohnsdeliverysucks #hopemygirlhasblueeyestoo

Kasen has been so much fun lately.  He has the cutest dimple on his left cheek that just appeared a couple weeks ago.  Is it possible to hit your face hard enough to dimple it? Cause it's right where he had a bruise before!
He pulls me by the finger to the back door and says, "deh" so we look for deer outside and I love that he gives hugs and kisses!
He's done with bottles now too.  He still asks for his "bah" is his cute, sad, higher voice, but all he gets is milk in a sippy cup now.

I took Kyle to Tucanos for his birthday dinner and it was DELICIOUS!
Got him some mousse too.
Later we went to see Star Trek and it was the first time I have ever fallen asleep in a movie theater!  I am just exhausted all the time though!
He got a Skor birthday cake on his birthday too, with a little extra to take to work for a midnight snack :)
Usually I don't let him have his birthday presents until I have wrapped them and give them to him on his birthday, but this year I let him wear his new shoes and shorts early.  I think it was the first time I haven't wrapped his present.  He doesn't like the big deal I make about birthdays anyways though.  Now that we have kids I will celebrate their birthdays more instead :)

Labor Day

We spent the Friday before Labor Day camping at Starvation Reservoir.  It was cloudy and rainy, but everyone was still able to play volleyball.  Kyle LOVES volleyball!
I watched Kasen.  He decided that he likes to eat mud.
And when Bentley and Kennedy pull him in the wagon!

On Labor Day Kyle had to go to work so I went with my family to the Aquarium!
The animals there move a whole lot more than the ones at he zoo, so I think Kasen enjoyed being able to see them better.
A couple of the big fish swimming in front of him scared him though!
He and Naomi liked playing on the animal statues there too!
The next day we played in the pool that mom Annette bought for him.  He loved playing in it and I was surprised how much he did with how cold the water was.  He found a couple rocks that he'd throw in and out of the water.

Yesterday we went to the Utah State Fair and got to see more animals!!
And we got to touch them.
This time he found that sheep have nose holes too.
Why do these goats not have ears?! Totally freaks me out.
 This is his excited face.
My favorite we seeing the 8, 8 day old piglets! They were so cute!

Later we went to the Brazilian Festival at the Gateway Mall!
I was disappointed that the pastels didn't have any goiaba or brigadeira, just cheese.
Kasen loved playing in the fountain though and Jake made sure to help him find all the places the water was squirting!
This week Kyle also taught Kasen to wipe his snot nose on my shirt.  They both think it is hilarious, but I think it's icky!  After the last giant bruise on his face was about gone, he fell and got another bruise in the same spot!  He falls and runs into things all the time.  Sometimes he cries, sometimes he doesn't even care.  I guess boys will be boys!

I think that about wraps up summer.
We found out that Kyle has been assigned to work in Riverton!
And the house hunt is officially on.  A little frustrating that after busting our butts to be smart with money, having a 790 credit score, zero debt and a good sized down payment for a house we still can't afford what we'd hoped, but something will come up!  We're looking from Eagle Mountain to West Jordan so that gives us options.
