Happy Birthdays!

Kyle and I are both 27 now! Time sure flies.
The day before Kyle's birthday we drove up Cedar Canyon to go fishing with Josh and the trees are gorgeous right now!  When we got to the lake Kyle realized that his fishing license had expired 3 days before that so Josh did most of the fishing.  He didn't catch anything though.

On Kyle's birthday he got to go golfing that morning then I took him to his favorite place for lunch, Buffalo Wild Wings.  This place has replaced Chili's for Kyle.

I made him a Reese's cheesecake for dessert.  It was about to rich for us though!  I also got him a new fishing license, shoes, a Packers hoodie and goggles (so he can go swim in the mornings).

On my birthday we tried a new sushi restaurant in St. George called Sakura.  It was the best sushi we have ever had! Better than Happy Sumo and Wild Ginger.
We got all you can eat sushi- fried spicy lobster roll, dragon roll, lobster roll, fisher roll, slott roll and winter roll- SO YUMMY!!
And sweet rice with mango for dessert.
Then Kyle took me to see Beauty and the Beast at Tuacahn that night! One of my favorite Disney movies.  Of course it was wonderful!
Thank you everyone that wished us happy birthdays! They were definitely happy, especially since we got to spend them together this year!

Who Does He Look Like?

3 months old now!
And everyone has still been wondering which one of us Kasen looks more like.  So I finally made a side-by-side comparison to help all of us figure it out! What do you think?

I LOVE these pictures! I'm so glad Kyle let me take some because usually he is not a fan of getting his picture taken!  He really is a hero for being willing to risk so much for those who care so little.  I wish more people could understand why police officers do some of the things they do.  They deserve to be able to consider their own safety- heaven knows their jobs are dangerous enough!

Over Labor Day weekend we went camping in Hurricane with Mom Tammy and also took a few family pictures.  It's super hard trying to use a timer to take group photos that I need to be in, but soon I will have a remote compatible camera!
Kasen slept by me in the RV and even though he slept 8 hours, I didn't sleep at all because he is so wiggly!

As of last week all of my baby weight is officially gone! I still can't run as far as I could before I was pregnant though so I will keep trying and hopefully check running a 5K race off of my bucket list next spring!

Kasen amazes all of us with how strong he has been since the day he was born!  He always has his head up looking around.
Except when he gets tired and needs a break :)

I love hearing him laugh.  It's still in the back of his throat and sounds a little bit like Chewbacca, but cracks me up every time.
Then he realized he was hungry!

He has just started being able to grab some of his toys and control his hands a little better.  We still can't get him to keep a binky in his mouth, but he loves to suck on his hands, which makes him drool all over  himself!  I get slimed daily so it doesn't even bother me anymore.  Let me smell like old milk, he is too cute to care!
