Sven's Room

Sneak peek! This year for Halloween Kohen gets to be part of our Frozen theme and dress up at baby Sven. Which went right along with his nursery theme too.

Grammy Tammy just finished Kohen's baby quilt. She's awesome because with every baby's quilt that I plan to help make with my mom I do less and less of the actual helping to make it. But she does a fantastic job every time!

I wanted to decorate Kohen's nursery with a woodland/bucks theme and found the perfect fabric for his quilt! I love it. And Katey gave me the perfect wood antlers to hang over his crib. I still want to buy a few other decorations, but have been saving money to buy them. Always hard for me to spend money on wants.

We have everything we need though so that is what is most important.
Cutest baby Sven ever.

Jakers Pumpkin Patch

I don't know why we waited until it was freezing outside to go to the pumpkin patch, but at least we made it to the pumpkin patch this year! Yesterday we went to Jakers with Grammy and Emma and did all the things.
We went through the straw maze and on the slides and then the kids wanted to climb up the hay bales. It was so cute watching them help each other up, but right when Tai was climbing onto the very top she scratched her tummy on the straw and it was bleeding and everything. So sad.
Kohen was my snuggle buddy while the kids played in the corn pit and then we went on the tractor ride through the corn field and big pumpkin patch. We usually go to the pumpkin patches multiple times in October, but this one trip provided about the same amount of corn in my car.
The last thing we did before picking out pumpkins and heading home was walk through the corn maze! And then it got cold fast.
Kasen had fun talking on his corn phone with Easton though. Tai was keeping her hands warm in Kyle's pocket.
I told Kasen and Tai they could pick out a pumpkin to carve, but Tai wanted this little baby pumpkin and has been carrying it around with her since. This morning it sat right by her on the couch to watch Little Mermaid with her.
Jakers raised their prices a little bit, but still totally worth the $5 it costs now.

Fall Break

Last week was fall break so Kasen had 4 days off school! We started the party off with caramel apples. Tai helped me dip the apples and ended up getting a little burn on her hand from some hot caramel. I didn't even know til later though cause she didn't even cry and just left the hot caramel on her hand!
My favorite is watching Tai try to bite into them! Eventually we cut them up so they were easier to eat.
Kasen kept asking for a Halloween toy so I told the kids if they cleaned up the basement we'd get Arctic Circle happy meals for dinner that come with a Halloween flashlight. First and last time though cause happy meals be a waste of money! Holy cow.
During fall break Kyle went deer hunting so we went up Thursday night to camp with him in Grandpa's trailer. They got to make S'mores and everything.

Kasen took his adventure bag camping so he had his binoculars and his compass to help dad spot some deer. When I dressed Kasen and Kohen in matching camo Tai asked, "Where are my adventure clothes?" but she still had fun adventuring outside shooting cap guns with the boys. Bentley even helped teach her how to use the sling shot! She also liked pretending that the bathroom door was an elevator and made sure to tell us that Bentley was eating "twenty thousand Oreos!".
I remember camping in my parents trailer when I was little, we'd pretend the doors were drive through windows to get food!
Also, Kasen says that he and Kohen are the "huggie brothers" and gives him lots of hugs. It's super cute!

Kohen slept like a champ in the trailer and only woke up once. Tai and Kyle however, were up all night. Tai kept sleep crying and Kyle kept checking on Kohen.
Monday we went to pick Kyle up, but none of them got a deer. For the 13 years I've known Kyle he's got one elk, but zero deer. I don't know why they keep going to that same spot outside Fairview...
When Kyle is gone I turn on the fireplace so that he can't tell me it's too hot. :)
Sunday we went to Grandma and Grandpa Forsyth's for dinner and the kids got to do all sorts of fun Halloween crafts. Kasen says he loves doing crafts and taking things home. They made Pumpkin paper bag puppets. Kasen named his Pumpkin Head and Tai named hers LaLa. They made sucker ghosts and decorated pumpkins and paper plates with Halloween stickers.
We got a kick out of Kasen telling us that the pillow on the couch says, B-O-O with a shout at the end so it says, "BOO!"

Tai loves spinning in circles and singing while she spins. I don't know how she doesn't get dizzy and fall down more. She also is always yelling, "Giddy up brown cow!" and I have no idea where that came from.
They both have been eating our garden tomatoes like apples. A couple times a day they ask me to cut up a tomato and put salt on it so they can eat them. I was not a fan of tomatoes when I was little, I didn't start liking them until I was an adult.

Belated

I have the best friends! It took a minute to coordinate our schedules, but we were finally able to get together for a belated birthday lunch. It wasn't quite the party that we had at Lagoon last year, but I still loved it!

I also got to have a sister date because EmmaLee took be out for a birthday breakfast at Waffle Love the week of my birthday! The next week Katey came to visit and bring me lunch too. And this super cute baby gift! I am in love with it!

Love all the love and any chance I get for mom dates!

Hitched

Lyndsey got hitched on Saturday 10.10.2020!
And we are so happy for her. Our kids especially because they think she is having a baby. lol
We had never even met Mark when she told us they were engaged back in August, but she seems so happy and is moving to Saratoga Springs now to be our neighbor. :)

Kasen and Tai had so much fun eating ice cream and playing with cousins! And I had fun being her wedding day photographer. We're lucky we made it in time for her ceremony because I thought only the reception venue had changed so 30 minutes before her wedding ceremony we were in Provo!
Beautiful bride. Beautiful day.
Congratulations Mark and Lyndsey!
