Through all the ups and downs this year we have learned some pretty valuable things:
1. It only takes $5 to get me to lay in the snow in a skirt.
2. Everything works out in the temple.
3. You don't meet with a Stake President just to give a talk.
4. The most important woman in Kyle's life is his mom. Lol I am just Amber :)
5. Receiving a bachelor degree qualifies you to water grass so always make sure to keep it green!
6. Yellowstone is NOT only 25 more minutes away.
7. Phones will still work after they fall into the toilet.
8. It is possible to have a seizure and NOT fall out of the chair. If you tell an ER doctor that they will think you are stupid.
9. Glass from West Virginia can break.
10. Apparently bishops are allowed to wear overalls to conduct sacrament meeting.
11. If you work in the ICU and a patient gets moved, don't tell the family that their grandma is "no longer with us" and then just sit there in silence.
12. You need the egg when you make brownies.
13. Kyle doesn't ever want to be a Bishop and I don't ever want to be single.
14. Men don't count as church leadership at activities until they are 35.
15. Unfortunately, our cat likes caramel. Fortunately he doesn't like honey.
16. Don't carve stones on wood tables, even when you put a towel under it.
17. Don't let the ends of jumper cables touch when the other ends are on a running car's battery or ever cut a live wire.
18. The hot water in the water dispensers will melt your plastic water bottle.
19. If your wedding ring is loose then don't shake the snow off of your hands.
20. It is impossible to find a hole in an air mattress!
Our 2 year anniversary came this year! It was simpler since I still was right in the middle of finals, but we had a chance to go out to dinner at Happy Sumo and I made a confetti cake in memory of our wedding cake! We also used the very last cup I made for our reception! They are finally gone!
Our temple trip this month was to Manti so since we wanted to take advantage of the live session we will do our anniversary sealings next month :)
We go to temple square with Kyle's family and the lights are amazing!
This was one of my favorite things this year! We got to have a big slumber party for the our family Christmas party! Just like when we were little! There is nothing I love more than being with family, it makes my Christmas!
We also had a slumber party at my dads and went sledding a little bit. It's not quite out of my system yet though! Mom made yummy corn chowder soup and hot chocolate and we all slept in our sleeping bags in the family room! And in the morning Dad made me my dippy eggs!! I am so excited for this new tradition.
Our other traditions are watching Christmas Oranges, writing the gifts we will give to Jesus during the year and putting them in his stocking and seeing Savior of the World to keep Christ in Christmas.
Christmas was so wonderful! We got to talk to Ben and Josh over Skype and then went to Kyle's house where we played my new Just Dance game and Kyle's new credit card Monopoly. He says it goes faster, but I don't think I believe him!
Thank you everyone for the gifts given to us! We appreciate all your love and I especially appreciate the traditions that we keep to give me things I look forward to so much!
Every year I get a new ornament for our tree and this year it was one that I got from my first time at Yellowstone!
Christmas Eve we had dinner at my moms house then she stayed the night with us and we woke up at our house for the first time! Kyle got the new watch he wanted and I got the new flash I wanted for my camera. That night we watched the Santa Claus and I love that movie because "Seeing isn't believing, believing is seeing." Santa may not be real, but I know that our Savior is. He lives and loves each one of us. He had given us the greatest gift that any of us could ever receive!

This was Thanksgiving at my moms house. Everyone except uncle Troy and Natasha's family was able to come this year- I love when everyone is able to get together!
I am so grateful for families spending time together.
