Happy New Year from Cedar City!!
Mostly just the last 1/2 because I am pregnant and don't even live with my husband. We have been apart twice before though!
And as usual I have learned many life lessons this year.
For example:
1. Life is easier when you accept the apology that you never got.
2. Windex gets ink off suede couches. (learned that without even having kids yet)
3. Always get travel insurance
4. If something sounds to good to be true then it probably is
5. Tonsil stones are STINKY!
6. The Great Salt Lake is pink and not nearly deep enough to swim in
7. Going running after having been sunburned makes your skin bubble up
8. How to gut a fish by myself
9. Not to eat the fish with eggs in them cause they are mushy and gross
10. If Hyundai tells you to buy a new transmission you probably don't need to. Mine's still been getting me to Cedar City for over 6 months now.
11. Most Spanish Fork people do not think that it is alright for a cat to be outside
12. Weeks of pregnancy are counted 2 weeks prior to even being pregnant. Apparently I got pregnant sitting with my mom on a beach in the Bahamas.
13. There is no way to find your way on a New York subway on Sunday because all the routes change and the maps are useless and nobody there can tell you which trains run north or south.
14. How to cook a turkey and make homemade apple pie
15. Walmart does not sell gravy boats, but they do sell Orbeez spas, neither of which you will find out from asking anyone that works at Walmart
16. Meeko does not know how to chase a mouse, but she will stay in the tub by herself when we give her a bath.
17. Selling a townhouse is much harder than I thought.
18. Aunt Bev and Richard are our lifesavers and I LOVE their family.
19. Don't try taking portraits while it is snowing. Editing all the snowflakes off someone's face is impossible.
20. Kyle prefers being tased for 5 seconds over getting pepper sprayed
I am also happy to report that I accomplished nearly all of my goals for 2014:
I got into the BFA program
I went on a cruise
I got a smartphone AND learned how to use it
Kyle and I got pregnant!
I still went to the temple at least once a month
And I didn't plan any parties last year (that was Kyle's goal for me:)
2015 goals:
Sell our house
Graduate
Move to Cedar City
Survive child birth (hopefully before Josh gets home)
Take more pictures with Kyle and I in them
Other than that, EmmaLee is officially a missionary of the Lord to bring the world His truth! I will miss her tons, but this will be the best thing she could ever do for her life! Missions change everything :) or at least they should... I love that I have a family of missionaries!
