Busy Summer and Big News!

A few months ago Kyle applied with Unified Police.  We didn't tell anyone because we didn't want all our hopes up in case it didn't happen, but this morning he was offered the job!
We love Cedar City, especially the great guys that Kyle gets to work with, but it will be nice to be closer to family and get paid better than we are now.
So by the beginning of July we will be living in Utah County again!  And poor Kyle will have withdrawals from free golf.
Mid May we got to go to the Cedar City Police Department Awards Banquet.  Kids weren't supposed to be there, but since everyone we know in Cedar was at the Banquet that night guess who were the only ones to bring their kid?! Us!
Kasen ran up and down the hall laughing the whole night, but I was still able to see Kyle receive this life saving award.  I'm so proud of him and all the officers that don't get the praise they deserve for everything they risk to help others.

 May Temple Date!
I was almost sure we weren't going to make it to the temple during the month of May, but when there is a will there is a way!

The next weekend we got to see Evva be blessed.
I even got to take some newborn pictures of her that morning!
It was my first time ever doing newborn photos so I'm glad it was a good experience.

She is so beautiful!
The next day was Memorial Day and we went to a BBQ at Grandma and Grandpa Forsyth's house in Aurora.  Everyone threw a football around and Kasen loved that Kyle held him while he played.

 June Temple Date!
We got our June temple date in early so we were sure it happened.  I'm so thankful for the peace, power and perspective we find in the temple!

We went to a big BBQ with some friends here in Cedar last week and I finally made the Hawaiian Chicken Kebobs that I have been craving! They were so yummy!
I can't wait till we have a backyard and can have BBQ's in the summer and Kasen can play with bubbles and the hose all he wants!
He has a big bubble wand that he got for Easter that he brings to be daily.  We usually just blow bubbles in the living room, but one day we went outside on the sidewalk!
He found the hose at Grandma's house and got himself soaking wet, but at least he was happy doing it!
Last weekend was my 10 year high school reunion! Crazy that we are that old!
I wish more people would have come, but we still had so much fun visiting with those who did come!
I loved high school, I wish I would have been asked to more than one dance, but the rest was a blast: Staying in hotels over spring break, making hot tubs in the back of trucks, camping in the back of trucks, sleepovers on trampolines then getting attacked with water balloons etc...
Surprisingly, we got the award for traveling the farthest to go to the reunion! lol

The next day I got to take Josh and Marissa's engagement pictures! He proposed last Thursday and they are getting married in August!
I think Engagement pictures are my favorite sessions to do.  I am in love with their pictures! My skills have definitely been improving too, which is also a plus.

Congratulations Josh and Marissa!
