#BlueLivesMatter

I don't comment a lot about what society thinks about police (mostly because stupid people just make me angry), but more people need to stand up for law enforcement if anything is going to change!
I wrote a little about it in January 2015 with my Fine Art project, but since then there has been a Black Lives Matter movement that is absurd.
ALL lives matter.

That includes police lives.
People are so quick to criticize their decisions without ever stopping to put themselves in their shoes.  Police have to assume that anyone they approach could hurt them in order to protect their own life.
Parents need to teach their children to respect authority.  That means when an officer says stop moving then STOP MOVING! Nobody would get hurt if that were the case, doesn't matter what color you are.
Simple. As. That.
More people need to go on ride alongs.  Call your local PD and set one up!

As a police family I can tell you that it gets frustrating to only be told all the stories about the cop that pulled you over when you didn't deserve it!
We have most of them memorized even from hearing them over and over.
As a citizen with a car and a drivers license it is your responsibility to make sure that your car is registered and to know the speed limit where you are driving.
I don't tell all my doctor friends how much I hate that doctors can never treat me correctly the first time I pay them, but make me keep coming back so I can pay more money.  Or that they just hand out drugs without ever fixing the real problems.
And I don't tell all my lawyer friends how unethical I think most defense attorneys are for helping people justify why it's alright for them to break the law, somehow putting the cop in the wrong for stopping a person DUI, that could have killed anyone else out on the roads.
Sure the conversation ends with, "BUT I really appreciate what you do." but the complaining beforehand doesn't help us feel that.  It just reiterates how much others don't understand. At all.
Most officers are GOOD and deal with the worst daily in order to protect you.

Sure Kyle may be blunt and have a sense of humor different than yours, but that it what keeps him SAFE and SANE.
I'm glad that he has a sense of humor.
So criticize and say that he is harsh, but I will back him up 100% of the time.  He has to make hard decisions everyday and deserves credit for the awesome job he does doing it.
He practices mercy and gives second chances a whole lot more than I would as a police officer.

So THANK YOU to my hero and all the heroes out there risking their OWN lives for all those that care so little or just don't get it.
ALWAYS do what it takes to come home safe.
Blue lives matter!
