We spent the Friday before Labor Day camping at Starvation Reservoir. It was cloudy and rainy, but everyone was still able to play volleyball. Kyle LOVES volleyball!
I watched Kasen. He decided that he likes to eat mud.
And when Bentley and Kennedy pull him in the wagon!
On Labor Day Kyle had to go to work so I went with my family to the Aquarium!
The animals there move a whole lot more than the ones at he zoo, so I think Kasen enjoyed being able to see them better.
A couple of the big fish swimming in front of him scared him though!
He and Naomi liked playing on the animal statues there too!
The next day we played in the pool that mom Annette bought for him. He loved playing in it and I was surprised how much he did with how cold the water was. He found a couple rocks that he'd throw in and out of the water.
Yesterday we went to the Utah State Fair and got to see more animals!!
And we got to touch them.
This time he found that sheep have nose holes too.
Why do these goats not have ears?! Totally freaks me out.
This is his excited face.
My favorite we seeing the 8, 8 day old piglets! They were so cute!
Later we went to the Brazilian Festival at the Gateway Mall!
I was disappointed that the pastels didn't have any goiaba or brigadeira, just cheese.
Kasen loved playing in the fountain though and Jake made sure to help him find all the places the water was squirting!
This week Kyle also taught Kasen to wipe his snot nose on my shirt. They both think it is hilarious, but I think it's icky! After the last giant bruise on his face was about gone, he fell and got another bruise in the same spot! He falls and runs into things all the time. Sometimes he cries, sometimes he doesn't even care. I guess boys will be boys!
I think that about wraps up summer.
We found out that Kyle has been assigned to work in Riverton!
And the house hunt is officially on. A little frustrating that after busting our butts to be smart with money, having a 790 credit score, zero debt and a good sized down payment for a house we still can't afford what we'd hoped, but something will come up! We're looking from Eagle Mountain to West Jordan so that gives us options.
