Pools, Parades, Parties, Puppies, Picnics and Splash Pads

Friday we got to go swimming for the first time! Kasen still won't jump in, but he does great swimmin around with his little arm floaties on. He even raced Grammy to the other side of the pool!
We are dang lucky that we got our snacks eaten before "No food in the pool!" lady showed up and started yelling at everyone. We would have been in BIG trouble...
Tai had to have her towel all the way up on her chair. When it fell down she needed it back "Up!" immediately. All the way up.
Tai doesn't know how to stay upright in her life jacket yet, but in her tube she can float around wherever she wants!
Saturday I ran my first race of the year and got Sydney to come be my race buddy!
We ran the Cupcake Charity 5k for Eagle Mountain Pony Express Days.
I woke up to the thunder and it was pouring rain (cause of course it pours rain anytime I paid money to participate in an outdoor activity) BUT it stopped right as our race started!
And I came in at 32:16.
After that we went to the Pony Express Days parade with Jon and Sydney.
It was the first time I've seen a parade twice! It comes down one side of the road, turns around and comes down the other side. They got candy, fireworks glasses and a whisk.
After the parade we headed up to Ogden for cousin Parker's Ghost busters Birthday party!
The kids played with squirt guns and water balloons and had so much fun.
Thanks McKenna!
Evva was such a good sport getting squirted in the face by all the boys.
And thank you Dakota for the pictures! They are awesome.

Sunday we had our first backyard BBQ. Except that it rained.
It stopped in time for the kids to eat outside though.
Kasen finally had his very last T-ball game on Monday.
of the 8 scheduled games, 5 were rained out.
But we finished!
 Go Raptors!
Kasen is in his own little world out there, doing his own thing, but at least he's having fun!

Don't remember the last time I saw Daphne (she was my last mission companion) so we got together for a much needed lunch date!
And today we went to the splash pad for the first time! I even got one of those quick shelter tents so we can stay there all summer long! Hazel, Hyde, Knox and Tuck were there with us too-
Always a party!

  1. I wrote a letter to the HOA manager complaining about how that lady yelled at that other family and made a huge embarrassing scene. I told them to teach board members and community members how to politely and respectfully approach their fellow neighbors to explain rules to them.
