It was one of those days where there were so many places to be and even though it's exhausting it's also satisfying to make it all work. I woke up early to go help my mom with her 4Gold Service and Rescue float in the Peach Days parade, while Kyle stayed home to take both Kasen and Tai to their soccer games.
It was the perfect way to remember the 20th anniversary of 9/11 and all the first responders that run towards danger when everyone else is running away.
This was actually the second parade I was in this week! On Thursday we participated in Eagle Mountain's Honor Parade for all first responders and we drove a route to the schools in the area, including Kasen's school so we got to see him!
Dads Dude Groups are just the cutest. IMO
And every year it's funny to see which kids will scream their guts out when the toy spider drops down in front of them. This year it wasn't Kasen! When Lyndsey went to help the kids pet a cow though there was a definite scream when that cow kicked the fence between them.
So we pet the baby goats instead. Kasen wasn't into petting anything though. He kept saying that, "I'm not made for this place." and insisted that he doesn't like farm animals.
Till next year!
