June

It wouldn't be PG swim lessons if they weren't canceled multiple times. We got to go to 4 of the 9 classes last session though, including slide day! So that's all that really matters I guess.
We've also been going with friends to have free lunch at the school most days, then out to the playground to play for a little while. Kohen is a fan of lunch at school and asks to go every day. Even though he just wants the chocolate milk mostly.
We've also taken advantage of free Frazil Fridays this month at the gas station!
Before Kyle went back to work I got to go on a girls outing and we went hiking on Traverse Mountain and then to dinner. It was a good little start to get back into exercising.
Then last week Heidi and I took the kids on a hike to the Bear Canyon Suspension bridge! It was perfect for the kids. But I cannot believe how much that bridge swings!
That same day Lyndsey invited us to go swimming with the cousins at her pool. Super mom over here! I was a little nervous to let Kasen swim without any floaties, but he did pretty good. He had one moment of panic in the deep end so after that I told him to stay closer to the wall and he was fine. We just need to get Kohen to stop pushing Dakota in the water and trying to hold other kids. lol
This month we also went with Grammy to the Ogden Treehouse Children's Museum. Kohen spent most of his time playing with trains, but we did go to the puppet show. Kasen told us he didn't want to see a puppet show then later told us that that was his favorite part of going to the museum!
Kohen and Tai love doing airplanes with me, but they scare Kasen!

We also made it to the Saratoga Springs Temple open house one very blustery day! Kasen's favorite part was the baptismal font and Tai loved the "Celestial Kingdom". I loved being there with them.
It got me thinking about how having kids is quite the endeavor. They spill, they are loud, they make messes, they waste lots of food, they fight, brake things and don't always listen...
BUT man are they the best thing ever too. Their joy, love for life, and laughter are contagious. Their smiles, hilarious comments, and curiosity make life full and so worthwhile. I love watching them learn and grow, seeing their proud moments, milestones and unlimited potential. Experiencing life with them, through their eyes is magical. Their big hugs, I love you and honesty remind me what matters most.
THIS is my happy.
THIS is my why.
And I would never want it any other way! My family is everything I have ever wanted and everyday I am grateful they are mine. FOREVER.
Tai has been asking to try salt painting, that she saw in the Friend, so we gave it a try! She was very happy with how her picture turned out.
Kasen has been building a couple Minecraft lego things that he got for his birthday too.
Tai and I have been strep throat buddies this week. She had strep throat last summer and seems to keep getting sick the worst. It hasn't even been a month since her weekend of throwing up. She's asked me a couple times why Kasen never gets sick.

You might be a mom if, at 4:30am you've helped a toddler throw up then wiped his bum and put him back to bed WHILE nursing a baby WHILE having strep throat.
That might also be why Mother's Day seems like a bigger deal. Because during the worst day of strep throat I vacuumed, started a load of laundry, loaded the dishwasher, made dinner, weeded the garden, took kids to Dr. appointments, wiped more bums, etc. Moms don't get sick days. Especially when they are hosting a party in a few days. One day of antibiotics had us feeling much better already though.
Hoping for zero sickness in July!
