Tai Turns Seven

Friday, Tai took treats to share with her class for her birthday and it just happened to be Christmas dress up day at school too! She got out of the car saying, "This is the best day of my life! Besides my birthday and Christmas!" Lucky girl got a 2 in 1! She got to choose how her class sang to her and was asking me what she should choose. She ended up going with having them sing to her like Elves. lol
Since Tai's bunny birthday last year, Tai has been planning another Spring/Easter themed birthday for this year. We settled on going to KidsTopia and making a butterfly cake for her. The morning of her party I remembered that she had a new butterfly shirt in the pack of clothes I bought her for Christmas, so I pulled it out to give to her to wear. And Kasen announced, "The first gift of Tai's birthday!"
We'd never been to KidsTopia before, but they had a good Black Friday deal that made it worth it. And the kids had lots of fun playing there for a couple hours!
Tai invited all her best friends; Nayvi, Gemma, Rowan, Brynlee, Charly and Reagan
We went back to our house to open presents, have lunch and birthday cake.
She got a Diamond Painting sticker kit, another paint studio kit, Gabby Dollhouse hamster kitties, Nutts about Mutts game, a purse, and a Barbie Cutie Reveal toy.
She also drew seven butterflies that she hid around the house for her friends to find when they came over.
Her favorite meal that she requested to have for her birthday was bow "tai" butterfly pasta, with butter and parmesan cheese. So that's what we made for everyone!
She's just so cute. We love our sweet Tai Lynn! How she cries during sad movies, tells us things so seriously and matter of factly, takes care of her brothers and loves to keep me up to date on every thing they are doing. She loves to help me in the kitchen and is now catching on to Kyle's sarcasm and handing in right back to him. I love how she likes to try new things too. I asked her what she wanted to do next year and she let me know she wants to do a pattern; Soccer, dance, basketball, soccer, dance, basketball... all the things! She's started reading Magic Tree House chapter books in her bed at night and her giggle when she's excited or nervous is my favorite.
For her birthday breakfast she wanted to go to IHOP, but I did one better and brought IHOP here! We made her giant sprinkles pancakes with whipped topping and more sprinkles, so she was happy!
After her party yesterday we took her shopping for her birthday present, a new bike.
We went to church today and what are the chances that the Primary gave her the crazy straw shaped like a butterfly?! One of those times you just know God cares about the little things to let us know how loved we are.
I love that she has all her birthday cards hung up on her bulletin board to save.
We all sure love you TaiLynn!
Never forget it
