Minky Rag Quilt

I spent 2 days last week cutting out over 250 squares of fabric and last weekend my mom came down and we got Kasen's minky rag quilt all finished in one weekend!

2 1/2 yards of 100% cotton fabric for the top

2 1/2 yards of flannel fabric for the middle 

and 2 1/2 yards of minky fabric for the back

all cut into 6" squares and sewn together!

The shelf for his room is stained and we bought the rest of what we needed at Target so we are all ready for him to come now!

We went to our 37 week appointment today though and I am only 1cm dilated.  He is head down, still measuring 2 weeks ahead in size, but the doctor said I could still possibly go another month!  I was hoping him measuring ahead meant that he might come early, but it just means I have to push out a bigger baby. 

I don't want to go another month!

While we were in St. George we stopped to see how much we could get for a trade in with our Hyundai to get a little bigger car and ended up leaving with a 2013 Kia Optima! The salesman went to high school with Kelly and gave us a really good deal :)

The salesman at Beehive Automotive in Salt Lake lied about our Hyundai having never been wrecked and it was starting to have problems so we are glad to have a more reliable car to be driving to Flaming Gorge and Lake Powell this summer!
