The week after Flaming Gorge with the Liddiards we headed to Lake Powell with the Forsyths!
We stayed on Uncle Chris and Aunt Natalie's houseboat with ALL 31 of Grandma and Grandpa Forsyth's posterity! We were only missing Grandpa Forsyth. I can't believe all the missionaries were home and everything! I loved being with everyone again.
We took Kasen on one boat ride and he just took a nap while everyone else swam in the canyon.
I went on a couple other boat rides while Kyle watched Kasen.
Do you see his little pinky toe?! He sticks it out like that all the time and we always laugh about how cute it is :)
Kyle went down the slide with me a few times and he fished quite a bit. He didn't catch anything and still thinks Lake Powell is too hot. (Even though he has no problem golfing ALL day in St. George…)Stephanies face in this picture makes me want to pee my pants laughing! Haha
I went on a tube ride with Ben and never even fell off!
This was Ben's first time wake boarding. He is so glad we made him do it!
Lake Powell our first time 18 years ago! A lot has changed, but Lake Powell will always be my favorite vacation spot!
Kasen's baby blessing was on August 2nd. At 9am (unfortunately)
But we had a yummy french toast breakfast afterwards and all of our families were there for the blessing! We appreciate everyone driving so far to come to it.
Mom Tammy made Kasen's blessing outfit! It was a little too big, but worked perfect. All of Kasen's cousins so far: Bentley, Kennedy, and Kallie
I want to testify of God's plan for families. Families are essential to His plan of happiness and parents have the responsibility to teach children what they need to know to make it back to His presence. That has been an overwhelming thought being a first time mom, but then I remembered seeing the video on the family at a couple different visitors centers and the only two things we need to do are make sure that Kasen knows that he is a child of God and that he is loved. Nothing else matters more than knowing those two things and I am so grateful for all of our wonderful family and friends we have in our lives to help us teach him that.
My parents got divorced when I was 9 years old and I remember seeing a box in our house that had families are forever painted on it and thinking that that phrase isn't even true, but since then I have gained a very strong testimony that families CAN BE together forever. Eternal families don't just happen, they require our best efforts. Because of temple sealings, keeping covenants, helping one another and enduring to the end, eternal families are possible.
I'm so thankful for a wonderful husband that honors the sacred priesthood power that has been restored. I love him so much!
Christ lives and I know that this church is the only one on earth with a fullness of His gospel. Living by it brings real and lasting happiness.
August temple date to the Payson Temple.
Last weekend we got to go tubin' at Yuba Lake!
Kyle said he didn't want to go tubing, but I know that he secretly loves tubing with me!!
Melanie pulled us this time since Kelly broke his ribs and I had so much fun!

Doesn't quite know how to use a binky...
Kasen is 2 months old today!
I love him. I love him. I love him.

Love that smile... I read an article today about how stressful it is transitioning into parenthood, but all I remember is how much I loved being able to stay home and be with my baby. Funny how those stressful moments tend to get forgotten after the kids are raised... lol
