We had a very blessed and Merry Christmas at our house this year!
Our
traditional ornament for the year this year was from our cruise back in
May when we went parasailing in Catalina Island! I tried making
ornaments with Tai's footprints on them too, but her feet were too big
for the ornaments I bought :(
Mom
Tammy got the kids some cute santa outfits that we took some pictures
in. We got Kasen to say, "Ho Ho Ho" too, which was pretty cute!
"Ho Ho Ho!" in his Ho Ho hat.
Kasen was better about holding Tai this time, he kept trying to feed her his fruit snacks though!
Then he wanted to carry her off the couch and was getting upset that we wouldn't let him take her.
This
is the first year I have been excited to put the Christmas tree away!
The ornaments that Kasen pulls off slowly keep getting put higher and
higher on the tree. I think he has broke a total of 4 of them, but his
favorites are the kitty and snowman ones.
On
Christmas Eve we opened Christmas jammies, but then Kyle had to go work
his graveyard shift :( p.s. notice how Kasen is flipping his tongue in
this pic?! He loves flipping his tongue.
We
made cookies for Santa then ate the cookies for Santa! And watched
Frozen. It's the closest thing to a Christmas movie I have that is
animated. And it's a good movie.
Kyle
got off work at 6am and was up again at 8:30 to open presents with us!
First we read a couple pages about Jesus being born in Kasen's Book of
Mormon stories book though.
I
loved watching him open presents! We just had to show him where the
seams were and then he would open them, look at them for a while, then
go show dad or have dad take it out of the package!
He got a movie that had to be opened and then he went straight to put it in the DVD player.
He got a talking Elmo that is pretty neat, it says Kasen's name when it plays with him.
This picture is my favorite of the day! Kasen tried out most of the boxes on his head!
"Squeeze Elmo's nose"
Tai
got her quilt that we made for her! When I say we I mean mostly Mom
Tammy, I just bought the fabric. I couldn't find whales like I wanted
though so she took it home and hand made whales for me! How awesome is
that?!
Kyle
got me a red Kitchen Aid for Christmas! And I gave him money and a
Petsmart gift card so he can start shopping for his German Shepard
puppy!
Later in the afternoon we went to Elkridge and got to talk to Sister Krista! She's doing awesome down in Texas.
We
also let Kasen go play in the enormous amount of snow we got the night
before and he was loving it! I can't wait to take him sledding
sometime!!
Kyle told him to lick the snow...
I
thought he would have been so cold after we brought him in, but he went
straight for the freezer and wanted to eat an ice cube!
Merry Christmas to all!
