We are once again debt free!
(except for our mortgage)
Debt free is the way to beeeeeeee.

When we bought our Pathfinder back in February the dealership told us all about how financing the car is actually cheaper than paying cash for it because the bank offers rebates, kick backs or waived fees whatever, whenever they can get buyers to finance with them. Why? Because then they get 5.8% interest all the while hoping that the customers forget to pay off their loans.
So messed up that those that have saved and prepared don't get rewarded for being smart with their money. People paying cash should 100% get awesome discounts IMO.
But even worse is that they told us we had to make at least 6 payments on the loan before we could pay it off. Which I just found out is a lie.
"Dealers like to tell you to make the first three payments before you pay
the car off. Dealers are paid a flat fee in many cases, it’s normally a
couple of hundred dollars. That flat fee is charged back to them if the
consumer pays off their car before three payments are made, but by law,
you can pay it off at any time." -CarProUSA
So we have been paying $1.86 of interest a DAY, $57.66 a MONTH on a car
that we had cash for in the first place. Paying interest is such a waste
of money!
THIRD time we have been lied to at a car dealership too. The first two being the previous salesmen that told us our car loans were interest free for the first year, (cause we thought we needed loans to "build our credit") which we found out this time isn't a thing.
So even though we did pay 6 months of unnecessary interest on our car, the real joke is on them because we remembered to pay off the loan. They aren't getting any more extra money from us!
BOOM!
PS, while I'm talking about things that are stupid in the world, don't take potty training toddlers into the bank because there are NOT public restrooms in there! Thank you Tai for successfully holding it all inside.
