Happy Labor Day!
We spent the weekend mostly at home, but today I invited myself over to EmmaLee's pool, to swim with the cousins, since today is the last day it will be open this year!
Kasen has gotten so super brave and was jumping in all over the place!
Tai spent a good deal of time eating an entire bag of baby carrots nearly all by herself! She loves carrots. The other day when I gave her carrots with dinner and then some apple pie, she ate every carrot all gone and left most of the apple pie on her plate.
Thanks for letting us come swim!
We went to the splash pad one last time on Friday, before the water turns off today too. I wish Kasen and Tai would stay and play in the water more, but they usually prefer going to the park part instead. Luckily Kyle met us there so he could stand in the heat and push Tai in the swing instead of me!

Mostly Kyle is just excited that the Mexican restaurant out here FINALLY opened! So we grabbed a couple breakfast burritos from Los Aribertos. We now have 3 places to eat in city center.
One of those things that are only cute on a toddler.
That night Ashley hosted book club at her house and it was so much fun! Probably the most fun I've had at book club yet. We were laughing about the new camping tips I learned, curse words, kindle app tips, delicious cookie making tips and then ate said cookies. And we were only missing one person over Labor Day weekend. I heart girls nights, no matter what they are for.
Saturday I finally caught my dad for a birthday lunch date with him! He's busy working 2 jobs, but I'm glad I was able to take him out for a lunch date even if it was over 3 weeks later.
That is one of Kasen's "comics" that he creates and then passes out to anyone that ever knocks on our door.
Yesterday we made some homemade pizza for dinner. The kids just wanted to eat pineapples...
I'm feeling pretty confident that Tai is finally potty trained though. During the day at least! She's been naked for over a week, but we've started using panties to go places and she's doing pretty good so far. I'm down to one sleeve of diapers so as long as I don't need to buy more of those I will be so happy!
