Life of Kites and Hikes

After conference we went out to fly kites and the kids were pumped!
They were running around all over the grass flying their kites until Tai tried laying down and thought she was pretty cool laying down to fly her kite. That and her string was ALL the way out!
But then she got up to run some more and her kite got stuck in one of those trees that you see. And I couldn't get it out. So I decided to let go of the string and hoped the wind would lift it out.
Which it did!
But then it got stuck in the next tree over and flew in that tree for a little while until the wind blew it out of that tree too! It landed over in the tall grass where we could find it.

Wednesday we took the kids to hike to the Y and they were so excited to "hike to another letter!"
I forgot how steep this hike is though and am so happy we didn't go when it was any hotter or I was any fatter. It's only 1 mile, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how in the world I ever made it to the top of Mt. Timp a year and a half ago.
Thanks for the maternity shorts Mom! #22weeks

We have officially been quarantined for ONE MONTH and this is how we are feeling about it. Ugh
Love the pictures I find on my phone of my kids though!

I am in love with the cutest ever Jet and Jerome that Kasen drew!
And we worked on a Preschool packet. I ended up asking them to transfer Kasen's tuition to Tai for Preschool next year. I'm not a fan of paying $90/month for preschool packets.
