Christmas 2020, also Kohen's First Christmas! We'll begin with Christmas Eve when we made Christmas tree french toast and green Grinch milk for breakfast. Unfortunately Kyle had to work, but we spent the morning playing Tai's matching games, snacking on all the neighbor gifts we received and later EmmaLee, Keslee and Grammy Tammy came over. Earlier in the week I had asked Kasen and Tai if they'd want to act out the Nativity and they seemed pretty excited about it. My family never did that growing up so I thought it might be fun to try while we even have a real baby to play Jesus, but once I got everything out to dress up in they said they didn't want to... So Grammy painted Tai's nails and played the Wii with Kasen instead. I asked them if they wanted to make cookies for Santa and they didn't want to do that at first either! Glad they changed their minds. Tai told Grammy that I said we could only do "Family fun things today."
So we got in our jammies (which we have now worn 4 years in a row) and made our peppermint blossom cookies for Santa! Thank you so much for taking pictures EmmaLee!!
When Kyle got home from work we all watched The Santa Clause together before going to bed.
Christmas Morning
This was the first Christmas in a few years that we didn't get any snow! And the first Christmas I didn't drive anywhere either. lol
The kids woke up a little after 7 and we read the Christmas story together before going out to see what Santa brought us.
Kasen got the Hot Shot rescue bot transformer that he wanted! And Tai got the Whirl rescue bot too. They also got a one shot 22 rifle to share, but when Kasen saw it he said, "It's the gun the Grinch said I would get! But I'm not ready for it yet."
He also got a remote control truck and Tai got Elsa with her horse. She kept asking for an Elsa III and has been trying to get her barbies to ride her Spirit horses that are too small for them, so I thought this would be perfect.
Kohen got a bouncer/walker toy!
From Grandma and Grandpa Forsyth we picked out the Super Girls for Tai, which first got all their shoes hot glued onto their feet. Kasen got some Kindergarten level books and a comic book to make his own comics.
He wasted no time drawing in his comic book and even made up a new superhero named Staple Man. He drew Sandman, Spiderman, Green Lantern and Batman. "That won't work. That will only make me wet!" "Stop or I'll melt you!" I love his comic book stories already.
Grammy Tammy got them the game Operation that we played all day long and she got Kasen an ORANGE skateboard and Tai a doll head to practice doing hair. Thank you!
We had cinnamon rolls for breakfast and then shortly after Kyle had to go to work. Luckily he was able to go in late so that we could have Christmas morning together! We didn't get any pictures of our presents, but I got Kyle a smart watch, new running shoes, ties and a hoodie and he got me tickets to a couple plays we get to go see at Hale Center Theater this year! The Hunchback of Notre dame and Les Mis. I also got a spice rack, a new blender, slippers, a pair of boots and overalls! Even though Kyle hates overalls. :)

The kids both got piggy banks for their money and look at the cute unicorn slippers that Kasen picked out for Tai!
For the first time in 6 years I saw my parents on Christmas Day. I invited them over to visit and Mom Annette ended up bringing her pasta maker to make homemade pasta for lunch. I've always wanted to make homemade pasta and it was so easy and yummy.
Tai kept saying, "This is so cool!" too.
Merry Merry Merry Merry Christmas!
Last night we had our after Christmas Forsyth Family party and had lots of fun playing this Reindeer game! The kids ran around while we tried throwing rings onto their antlers. Haha
