EM 7th Ward Young Women's Camp 2022
Camp Earley Park in Collinston, Utah
We had 21 young women, 8 leaders and a lodge to sleep in!
Our theme was Trust in the Lord.
This year is my 4th year being in YW with this ward and I think this year of camp was also my favorite so far. On our way up to camp we stopped in Salt Lake to go on a tour of the Conference Center with the Sister Missionaries. We saw the auditorium and then went to a room with all the original 12 Book of Mormon paintings by Arnold Friberg. We saw the biggest painting in the Conference Center (which is Christ visiting the Americas), a Christus Statue, a model of the Salt Lake Temple showing what the inside looks like and then up to the gardens on the roof to look out and see the Salt Lake Temple still under renovation.
This is another painting in the Conference Center that I liked. I feel like it makes Christ more personal to not picture him looking like an artists rendition, but that He is just who each of us needs Him to be.
We didn't get much sleep at camp. The first night we went on the camp's planet walk up on the hill. It was a pre lit path to follow and every so often there are plaques to read about each planet, but they also each have a scripture about the creation and our creator. My favorite; Alma 30:44. "All things denote there is a God. All things do witness that there is a Supreme Creator." The amount of organization that makes everything just work is incredible. There is no way it could have happened by chance.
Thursday night we had a glow stick dance party! I sang and danced for hours and it was amazing! Bishop Hale even danced with his light saber there too.
Friday morning I woke up early with Kelsey to go pick up donuts to surprise the girls for national donut day! The girls got to do a ropes challenge course at USU and we all got Aggie Creamery ice cream afterwards. Which I think was better than BYU creamery. It was sooo good!

We had a Nerf gun battle with our shields of faith, did an amazing race with Old Testament themed challenges; including building an ark, shooting down pop cans (or Goliath), building a stone tower, and using streamers to mummy wrap a technicolor dream coat! We did skits, a Stand for Your Sister activity to remind the girls they aren't alone in their struggles, a few crafts and learned how much Bishop Hale loves birds, but my favorite is always testimony meeting.
I know we can do hard things. Christ will help us do hard things. I have a deep love for YW camp because a huge part of my own testimony comes from what I felt going to young women's camp.
You are never alone. You have never been alone and you will never be alone.
You matter.
You are loved.
Trust in the Lord.
