Pumpkins, Patches and a Deer

Saturday night we carved the two pumpkins that we grew in our garden this year! Yes, that ginormous pumpkin came out of our garden.
Oliver and Keslee came over to decorate pumpkins with us too.
Tai picked an owl stencil to trace and carve and Kasen wanted to design his own face to draw and carve in his pumpkin. When it came to scooping goop and carving, Tai went for it! All in. You go girl. Kasen wasn't loving that part so much. Once Tai's arm started getting itchy I finished it for her though. And today we roasted our pumpkin seeds!
This week we also went to Sweet Berry Pumpkin Patch with the DeVaneys. And it was COLD! We did not last very long, but made sure to get our hay ride and barrel train ride.
It happened to be crazy hair and mismatched clothes day that day so this is what we came up with for Tai!

Last weekend we went on our last camping trip of the year for the deer hunt. It was a hot chocolate kind of deer hunt with the snow that came. And a huge tender mercy that the furnace in our trailer only broke on the days I wasn't there. Oh and Kohen knows how to open (and lock, and unlock) the trailer door now. So that's a nightmare. Kyle left at 6:30am and Kohen followed him out of the trailer wanting to go with him.
A big congratulations to Kyle for his first successful hunt in 13 years! He got his deer!
Kyle took Kohen up with him a day early, so Friday morning, while Kasen was at school, Tai and I went on a breakfast date! I hope she will love Kneaders French toast like I love it so that we can go on lots more breakfast dates together.
