The first day of March, Tai let me pull out her 8th tooth and then the next day she got to cash in her Grammy birthday date. Grammy took her to the salon to get her toes and nails done! Then she got to pick out a dress to match her nails.
That night Grammy also stayed to watch the kids while Kyle and I went on a super fun group date. She even made them jolly rancher popcorn while we were gone.
For our date, we went with 5 other couples in our ward out to dinner and then bowling at Fat Cats. All but one of them live on our street (#PartridgePals) and have kids that come over for playdates with our kids.
Kyle didn't want to be a nerd and bring his bowling ball, so I ended up beating him!
It was so much fun! Burgers at The Hab were delish.
This month Kasen finally got his expander put in his mouth and we have to turn the key every day for 3 weeks. He's having to learn how to talk with it in, but is being so responsible about what he is and is not allowed to eat with it in! Maybe even a little too cautious. I had to let him know that it's alright to eat cereal and syrup with his French toast.
The day after he got it in he had his Battle of the Books competition at school and his team got 4th place! During the week his teacher asked them to memorize all the authors of all 20 books before the battle and I was impressed that Kasen did it! He's a rockstar.
He loves his bookshelf.
Our California cousins slept over for 4 nights this month and then the week they went home was Pi Day and St. Patrick's Day! We invited all our neighborhood friends over for pie again this year and it was a delicious day.
Last year Kasen wanted to invent his own family tradition and decided on green homemade Oreos on St. Patrick's Day. He's been talking about it for a long time so we had to make some!
That day we also went to our first Forsyth Family dinner of the year and probably the last one in that house. My Mom and Dad are under contract for a house here in Eagle Mountain. We celebrated Mom's birthday month with green breakfast for dinner and then she gave the grandkids a treat from her Leprechaun treasure chest!
The Manti Temple open house was this month, for only like 3 weeks though and I really wanted to go. The first Saturday we heard the lines were 5 hours long! So instead of waking up early the next Saturday to hurry down there, we took the chance on Kyle's day off to run down right after school and there was zero line! yay! Manti is one of my favorites and the kids loved the spiral staircases.
Tai got to go to Charly's fun bubble gum birthday party and then we went to a ward Easter dinner. Tai went back for more salad I think 5x. Her and Kohen both LOVE them some salad!
Yesterday we went to Grammy Tammy's house for an Easter dinner and the kids got to do an Easter egg hunt. Some of the eggs had stickers in them so Kohen would shake the eggs and if he didn't hear some candy rattling around in there then he'd put it back.
Thank you Grammy!
