Kristi brought her kids to visit Utah and stay with us for some cousin time and while they were here, Grandma and Grandpa Forsyth took all of us to Thanksgiving Point to play for the day! So we spent the morning at the Children's Curiosity Museum. So super nice of them.
I went with both Kohen and Tai over the rope bridges to get to the airplane and even went down the big twisty slide afterwards.
My kids could have stayed so much longer, but when everyone else was ready to go, we all went to lunch at Carl's Jr. Where Kohen liked eating my sandwich with me. As in taking bites at the exact same time that I was taking a bite.
That night Kristi offered to watch the kids while Kyle and I went on a date! We went out for sushi at one of our new favorite places, Tapa Sushi, and in honor of St. Patrick's day coming up, got the Leprechaun and Rainbow rolls and also a Caterpillar. All so good!
Kristi got to our house in the afternoon on Friday, so Naomi got to come with us to watch Tai perform at the Luxelle Drill Team Showcase at West Lake High School. She got to do a mini drill clinic the night before and learn a cute dance to 'I'm Still Standing' with her friend Brynlee.
My kids didn't have school on Monday or Tuesday this week so on Monday morning we all went to play at the park and then took the kids to hike Turtle Hill, here in Eagle Mountain.
It was a windy, 1.5 mile hike and I didn't have a baby carrier for Kolt, but we all made it!
I just want to know why Google Maps doesn't know what a trailhead is. I am always nervous to try new hikes cause there is no reliable way for me to know where I need to be. We started driving up the hiking trail before I had a feeling that we weren't supposed to and I had to reverse back down the mountain. The AllTrails app wasn't any clearer either. Getting lost is an adventure though right?!
Poor Kohen's face has a good scratch from falling down with his hands in his hoodie pocket too.
Later Grandma and Grandpa Forsyth came over to make mini pizzas with the kids for dinner and then Grandma made a fun Easter treat and craft with them before Kristi headed back home to California today.
Tai has been crying about Naomi having to go home and telling me how hard it is. Kasen says he is sad too, but just isn't showing it. They had lots of fun playing with their Pokemon cards together and hanging out. Cousins are a pretty fun thing to have!
Naomi has also been helping us with Tai's Flat Stanley project at school. Tai had to send him somewhere outside of Utah, so Naomi took him sight seeing in California and Tai will have to tell her class about where he went and find it on the map, etc.
