Every day during May, Tai's class had a new theme for the day. For the entire month! Why do they do that to parents? Tai had fun though and she also got to go on her first ever field trip to Tracy Aviary.
Star Wars Day, May the Fourth be with you! Insect Day, Pirate Day and Western Day. On Pirate Day she came home and made me a scavenger hunt to find the treasure, which was a hug!
Kasen finished reading the 7th Harry Potter book so instead of watching Star Wars that day, we watched the last Harry Potter movie.
Kohen finished all the breastmilk I had stored in the freezer and is drinking cows milk now. He was NOT a fan at first. He screamed for a couple hours after swatting the bottle away all morning. I finally just put him in bed with it and once he was asleep I saw that he drank it.
Tai and Kohen made a rocket ship with his fort building things and we've been going for morning walks. When it's not STILL snowing! Yes it snowed this week.
He got them the same day he was chosen as Student of the Month also!
Kasen and Daisy finished writing their first Banana Nut Babies book together and gave the first printed copy to Mz. G. It's pretty funny too!

Kohen loves picnics in the backyard, so we've already had a couple when friends and cousins have been over this month.
Not only does Tai help teach Kolt how to go down the stairs, she's also been trying to teach Kohen how to read! She has a handwriting book that she makes him do with her and made letter sound cards with pictures that she has pinned up in her room. She finished another 300 piece puzzle and is working on painting her 3rd paint by number poster!
Kohen got to go fishing for a whole day with dad on Grandma Melanie and Jack's boat. He loved it the whole time too.Kyle and I did a fun little date box at home. We made homemade macaroons and did a solved an escape puzzle together. It was fun trying to figure it out.
We also took the kids up to the Layton Temple open house! I really like the ceiling in the Celestial Room. It is blue stained glass that looks like stars up there too. This was the 6th temple that our kids have been able to go in.
We went to Kasen's parent party yesterday where we walked on eggs and watched a slideshow of the year. Kasen brought home a picture book of his top 10 favorite things this year and a huge portfolio of all the things he's done also.
He loved Reflections, Birthdays, Battle of the Books and Break Outs. He loved all the field trips, his AMAZING class program, making fraction pizzas and maps, rollercoasters, the pumpkin carriages and much more. He was never bored.
The last day of school is tomorrow and he let me know that when he gets home, he will be "weeping into his pillow until it is soaking wet."
Tai has loved her teacher, Ms. Lasson as well. She made good friends with Brynlee and they got to do both the cheer camp and the Luxelles drill camp together this year. Tai is going to miss her.
