Memorial Day at Scofield

The last day of school arrived! Kasen didn't cry, but Tai sure did. Twice.

But we headed to Scofield to camp for Memorial Day weekend. And we were so happy that the curse was broken! Last year we missed Memorial Day camping cause Tai and Kohen were throwing up and the year before that we missed it cause Kyle and I had COVID. So we went camping for Memorial Day for the first time in a very long time. We almost didn't make it though cause Tai and Kolt are throwing up today!!

We stayed 4 nights and the first 2 days were raining, but the last couple were perfect.

Kolt loved putting pine cones in the tail pipe of both Kyle and Grandpa's trucks.

Roy and Kristi Banks came camping with us and Kristi had all sorts of beads for the kids to make lots and lots of bracelets!

Kolt also spent quite a bit of time taking this jump rope with him and just watching it follow behind him!
When Kohen wasn't fishing with dad, he was pretending he was fishing. He has a good arm to throw a frisbee too! He tried putting cups on his hands to put his hands down inside the gopher holes, but mostly he sat on the hill with Wayne and pet him. And made some "chocolate milk"
We played Bocce Ball on the last day and the white ball went all the way down a gopher hole! We had to dig pretty deep with a shovel to find it.
Sunday night Lyndsey had their pizza oven up there so we all got to make homemade pizzas! It was Kasen's favorite part.

Kohen loved playing with Oakley and would go knock on their trailer to tell Oakley to come out. The morning after they left he rushed back inside and said, "Mom! Oakley's trailer is gone!!" He was not happy that I wouldn't let him sleep in it the first night either.
On Saturday we ran back down to attend Ethan's baptism. He's one of Kyle's friends from work and Kyle's been going to the missionary lessons with him and also got to confirm him.
While we were gone Kyley did crafts with the kids at camp while it rained.
Kennedy pained Tai's nails and even painted little avocados on them! That was their hand clapping game all trip, "This is the game of avo-ca-do. Don't mess up or I'll change your name!"
My favorite game of the trip was Taboo. I love that game. Except when I accidentally offended all midgets and dwarves by saying they aren't actual people when I was trying to get everyone to guess toddler... I meant to say AVERAGE person.
Happy Memorial Day!
