For Christmas Kyle got me tickets to see The Prince of Egypt at Hale Center Theater. It wasn't Kyle's favorite cause they changed the story a little bit, but still a fun show to see.
Hayden and Karissa came with us too and we used our Ruths Christ gift cards that Melanie gave both of us for Christmas. Crab stack, sweet potato casserole, steak and shrimp SO good!!
We also had a hotel credit from our credit card to use so Kyle booked us a room at Anniversary Inn, the Bridal Veil Falls room. We'd never stayed there before, but it was fun to stay in a themed room with a waterfall for a shower. They also left us breakfast outside our room in the morning.
Such a fun date night!
Kyley was so sweet to take our kids overnight while we were gone. They got to have a big cousin sleepover and go see Dakota's grave too.
That Friday Kasen lost a tooth and didn't tell anyone so that he could see if the Tooth Fairy was real. He woke up to a gold dollar though so I guess his tricky ways did not work like he thought.
Thank you so much Kyley for taking care of 11 kids while we were gone! Best Aunt Ever!
The very next weekend, I got to go on a girls trip to Logan with Amy, Allaree, Chelsea, Kelsey and Heidi. We planned it when we found out that Kelsey is moving to Louisiana in a couple months. We're all going to miss her! She's been the best Primary Music Leader, party planner and friend.
We stayed at an AirBnB in Smithfield for 2 nights and it was wonderful.
The first night we got burgers at Cooks Underground, looked around a cute bookstore and got Aggie ice cream.
The next morning we got breakfast/lunch at Herm's and went for a walk before the trail got to icy and we had to turn around. So we went to walk around campus for a minute instead.
The AirBnB had a huge theater room so we went back and watched 'Return To Me', played lots of games and did a pass the painting game too.
Our last morning there the hostess made a yummy breakfast for us and we stopped for a scalp treatment on the way home. I thought there would be more of a head massage, but I was done an hour before everyone else... oh well!
We also celebrated being done with our 8 week Six Sisters Health challenge! There were 11 of us doing it with most of our spouses and the two winners, Allaree and Nicole, split $195!
This health challenge usually helps me a lot, but this time it was not worth not having ice cream every day for 8 weeks. I didn't lose any weight, but it is what it is.
After Kasen I was 128 lbs, after Kohen I was 148 and the lowest I've been since Kolt is 153. And that's more than okay! Pretty normal after each time you have a baby.
Cheers to healthier habits!
