Grandpa Ward is turning 95 years old on September 10th so all the family got together to wish him a very happy birthday! We are all the luckiest to have him for our Grandpa.
Jake and Kristi even came up from California and we got to meet their new baby, Jackson Ward Forsyth. Grandpa got out his harmonica to play a little bit for us too.
My dad even got punch bags from Ideal Dairy for old times sake. Those used to really hit the spot all those years we went to Lake Powell together.
When we were getting ready to leave Grandpa was telling me that not many people get to be married for 65 years and having Grandma with him for all those years "is enough to make ya bawl." It was so sweet. I sure love my Grandparents.
After the party we went over to check out Red Hill Hot Springs in Monroe.
They were small, shallow and not very warm, but now we know! I'm always up for a soak.
I have been to almost all the hot springs in Utah now! I've soaked in Meadow Hot Spring, Homestead Crater in Midway, Crystal Hot Springs in Honeyville, Lava Hot Springs in ID, Red Hill Hot Springs and Mystic Hot Springs in Monroe, Inlet Park in Saratoga Springs and Fifth Water Hot Springs up Spanish Fork Canyon. My favorite is still the first one I ever visited in Meadow. There's one down by Delta called Baker hot springs, but I don't know when or if we'll ever make it down there. It's been fun checking them all out through the years though.
