Blue Angels and Bye Summer

The weekend after school started the boys went on a boys trip to Twin Falls, ID to see the Blue Angels air show! Now they've seen the Thunderbirds at HillAFB and the Blue Angles!
And while they were there, the girls went swimming at Provo Rec and Tai got to have a sleepover. While we were at the pool watching the girls go down the slide, I didn't see that Kolt had started to climb over the bottom of the slide. Just as he was on the top of it someone came down and the wall of water scorpioned him right back over!
Thank you Kyley! Tai had so much fun doing nails and having caramel syrup for breakfast!
Kasen and Tai told me they wanted to learn to do back flips on the tramp this summer and I think it's the only thing on our summer wish list that we didn't accomplish!
We promised them ice cream for going out behind the boat at Flaming Gorge though and luckily the day after we got back was Zeppes grand opening! I love Zeppes Italian ice!
The next day was our streets turn to host Treats on the Street, so we made muddy buddies to share with our neighbors. That week we also made homemade pasta, during which Kolt ran away and was lost for the 3rd time this summer. Found him down the street on his bike, wearing the same outfit as the first time we lost him.
Grandpa Jeff gave Kohen one of his cowboy hats and he has loved pretending to be a cowboy!
Waffle Love had a kids summer reading program that gave them a free waffle for each book they read so we went and cashed that in for free waffles!
Kolt had been so into playing with the wooden train tracks lately "Choo Choo"
-He only stays in nursery about every other week. Kyle can't handle his bottom lip and crocodile tears when he runs after us saying, "way way" (wait), it's too sad.
-After I sing to him at night and tell him goodnight, he waves his cute little hand at us as we close the door, but in the morning we know he's awake because he runs and slams his body into the door and bangs his head on it until we open it. Well until I open it. If anyone else opens his door for him he will shut it again. He makes himself bleed and the corner by his door is so dented.
-He points out every airplane in the sky these days and makes sure we see them too. In the car he points out cows, water  and "Inny how" (Indy's house next door) too.
-Some of my favorite words he says right now are "cue" (thank you) and "ellow" (yellow), and "pewed" (spilled). He also says happy. We try to get him to say the kids names, but when we tell him to say a name, he just points to whoever it is.
While I was doing Kohen's hair for church I found that his hair had been cut. He said Indy cut it when they were playing at her house. He told me he didn't cut her hair and I am hoping that is true!
After church Kyle gave the kids their back to school Father's Blessings. Kohen still doesn't understand why it's important to be reverent during them so we'll keep working on that...
I took Kohen and Kasen to their well check visits at the doctor and Kasen was asking what 20/20 vision means and what the height and weight percentiles mean. So the doctor was explaining what those measurements mean and asked me if Kasen is competitive. I told him that he's just very curious!

And that's a wrap on summer because Kohen starts kindergarten TOMORROW!
Bye Summer
