Kite flying made for a good day because it was also the first time that Kasen has pooped in the potty!!
Woo hoo!
Kyle sits him on the toilet all the time, but July 11th was the day.

It only took us since Easter to finally find a day off, also with enough wind to go fly the kite
and I loved it.
They are so cute together!
He started thinking it was fun to let go of the string and let the kite fly away, so then I took a turn flying it :)

We went to Stephanie's summer orchestra concert and saw her play her cello! Kasen loved dancing to the music while they played too.
That night I was in charge of some minute to win it games as part of a Relief Society activity.
We played Cookie Face, Suck it up, and the Fruit Roll game.
I took the extra stuff home and made Kyle play them with me just for fun and I won ALL 3! Kasen was watching, but he got the games mixed up and now when we give him MnMs he tries to put them on his forehead! Haha
We took the kids to the Lehi pool and Tai went swimming for the first time! It was Kasen's second time, but we didn't put his life jacket on him this time. We'd go around the lazy river and he kept saying "again!" He went on the kids slide a couple times, but didn't like that as much. My favorite are the baby swings just above the water- GENIUS!
- Kasen will not sit down in the bath anymore. He insists on standing up, which makes him hate when I pour water on his head to wash his hair, I don't know why he doesn't like to sit anymore?!
- When he climbs up on something he puts his arms out and says, "Ta-dah!" I don't know where he learned that from.
- Whenever we wash his hands in the sink then set him down in front of the towel to dry them he says, "elbow" and has to dry his elbow first and then his "hands."
- When he wakes up in the mornings he stays on his bed and talks to himself and plays, even though his door is open.
For this month's temple date I was all excited to go to the Jordan River Temple, but had NO IDEA it was being renovated and rededicated mid 2018! So we drove to Oquirrh Mountain, but it was closed too! But since we are lucky and live in Utah we got to drive to a third temple! Hooray, Draper was open!

"I know your lives are busy. I know you have much to do. But I make you a promise that if you will go to the house of the Lord, you will be blessed: Life will be better for you." -Gordon B. Hinckley
Jon and Sydney both have July birthdays and me and Kyle both have September birthdays so we usually take each other out to celebrate sometime during those months. This time we stayed in and played pass the pigs with some pizza though!
Also, my kids are serious about their food!
Surprisingly, I think Tai loves food even more than Kasen! She is aggressive. You put puffs on her tray and she will grab all of them with both hands and pound them down until she licks her tray clean. If there is food anywhere she will find it and she will try to eat it!
Although, I love food too! Swiss, mushroom and avocado burgers are one of my favorites!
I also tried a coconut chicken recipe that was pretty darn good as well!
We didn't love the slow cooker brownie pudding as much as we thought we would though.
