December 16th was our 6th Anniversary!
So Monday night we left for a little overnight getaway at the Homestead Resort in Midway!
We got to soak in the crater and it was pretty neat! Especially since scuba Santa was there with us. We tried out the snorkel gear for just a sec, but there isn't anything to see under the water so we didn't use it long. As long as Kyle could still see his coat on the shelf he was good!
Unfortunately the customer service at the Homestead Resort is horrible, but I would recommend going to the crater sometime!
For lunch we tried a New York style pizza place then that night we went to see the new Star Wars movie, complete with $6 medium popcorn and a $5 medium soda! I think it was the first Star Wars that I actually followed the entire time and understood what was going on. Made it much more enjoyable! After the movie we stopped by Wendy's. Kyle is so sweet and always orders me an extra sandwich after I tell him what I want. I'm not sure why he thinks I need more food that what I tell him I want, but he does it anyway and I love him for making sure I don't go hungry!

The next morning, after breakfast, we went to do our anniversary sealings at the Bountiful temple!
"Love is intended to last longer than time, to span the veil of death and continue everlastingly."
We met Kyle's family at temple square to see the lights and pick up Kasen and Tai. They loved staying with Grandma and Grandpa because Kasen got to sleep in their little kids circus tent!
We saw 4 of the videos they play in the visitors center and the Christus Statue this year.I still love the one about families and that they are central to God's plan for our happiness!
This year we all went to a Hawaiian BBQ place for dinner that I still think nobody knows the name of...
Peeka got to go play with Scout, across the street while we were gone.
Which means she also had a bath before we left to clean off the variety of chocolate milk and yogurt all over her, from when she camps out under the kids while they eat.
She's been bugging me lately cause she always has to be under my feet or touching me or trying to lick my face EVERY time I bend over to do anything. LEAVE ME ALONE PEEKA!
But she is getting better at listening!
We got her a new igloo dog house for Christmas and she already knows where to go when Kyle says "Kennel" or "House".
Our Jr. Nursery class made the cutest ornaments, with the kids pictures on them, to give to their parents! I love how they turned out. I was in charge of the pictures and Tina made the ornaments.
Tonight Ashley's family came over and we had a Green Grinch Dinner with Christmas tree waffles and Grinch fruit kabobs! Then we watched the Grinch and ate green popcorn!
The waffles weren't as green as we would have hoped, cooking them made them a toasty brown color, but the mini mnm ornaments and whipped cream made them delicious as ever!

We
went to Ashley and Hazel's cutest little Hot Cocoa Stand, helping to
raise money for their cousin with cancer. I'm so glad we were able to go
and support. Plus the hot chocolate was delicious. And Kasen got to eat
some snowflakes coming in through the car window!

- I've finally started reading to Tai before bed. I read to Kasen before naps and bedtime, but Tai has been forgotten about when it comes to reading. Mom fail! Kasen's favorite books right now are a Sesame Street book that has a part about jellybeans and his baby book that I have up on his shelf. I love when it's his turn to read it to me too. "In mom's belly. Push out. Crying. Riding boat."
- Tai's started learning to wave and clap and sometimes when I pucker for a kiss she will lean her forehead into it. She also knows how to turn around and get off the couch by herself.
- Kasen likes it when we call her Tai Lynn instead of just Tai and sometimes when she is jabbering he tells us what she is saying. "Tai says mommy." "Tai says hungry." I love his little translations! The other morning he was talking to her and she was repeating some of the sounds he was making and carrying on quite the conversation with him.
- Kasen loves yogurt. He eats it probably every day. But he only likes strawberry and I bought peach. So now what I do is put peach yogurt in the bottom of a bowl, pour strawberry on top, then swirl it around a little and he doesn't even know!
- Whenever I tell him something is all gone he says, "Buy some store."
