Birthday week we spent on the Imagination Carnival cruise ship with the Eason's and Gneiting's.
So much fun!
Saturday, September 22nd
Kyle turned 30!
Trevor and Lindsay dropped Peeka off at Hayden's house, we dropped our kids off at Melanie and Kelly's trailer, then they hopped in our car and we drove down to Vegas to meet Becca and Corby at her parent's house to stay for the night.
Kyle had been looking forward to eating at Hash House so we made a reservation and called back 2 more times to change it because we got a flat tire on the way there! Bad birthday luck right.
Luckily we had a compressor with sealant in our trunk and fixed it well enough until we could come back and go to discount tire.
Hash house was delish though- enormous serving sizes!
and a free red velvet waffle for Kyle's birthday that night- sans singing.
Sunday, September 23rd
We were literally the last people to board the boat at 4pm and were able to walk right on to the ship with zero lines.

We went to the Hasbro Gameshow where Trevor got on stage to play and when they asked him why he picked the dog card he said, "I like my dog."
True statement. That we will never stop quoting.
Monday, September 24th- Catalina Island
We got off the boat, but only stayed long enough to walk down and put our feet in the ocean.
We went back to the boat to sit in the hot tubs instead.
That night before dinner we played a little mini golf on the top of the ship.
Poor Becca was so worried about her clothes cause when she changed Kyle asked her why she was wearing pajamas. "Personal"
They sang Happy Birthday to me and Kyle that night. She ship also gave us giftcards to buy a couple pictures from the ship!
It was also SHOWTIME for the waiters and they sang and danced with us. Kyle was so embarrassed at me trying to dance with him. Which makes it more fun for me to keep dancing!
Everyone learned about how real Kyle's social anxiety is.
Corby was the best though because he is a bottomless pit when it comes to food and picked up his plate to keep eating while we all stood up to dance!
This chocolate melting cake is the #1 reason I like sailing with Carnival.
And I'm pretty sure that my food baby is bigger than Lindsay's real baby... This is where I will also tell you that I gained 7lbs on this 4 day cruise! We ate all sorts of yummy things including escargot, rabbit, alligator and duck pot stickers.
We stopped for some Karaoke, but Trevor and I were the only 2 that ever sang.
I sang Raise Your Glass by Pink :)
We enjoyed watching a couple other girls sing some party starters including "It's Business Time"
Every night we went to the comedy shows of Billy D. Washington and John
Mulrooney. They mostly liked to roast the audience. When I say audience I
mean a drunk lady named Shelly that sounds like she lost some teeth
"PARASAILING!"
Tuesday, September 25th- Ensenada, Mexico
Corby turned 30! Within 2 weeks 4 of us have birthdays, but all 3 of us that had birthday's the week of the cruise turned 30. Endless parties.
This is the same cruise we did 2 years ago, but since I was pregnant with Tai last time I didn't get off of the boat because of the risk of Zika.
This time I got to get off of the boat! But there wasn't much to see. All we did was find a few souvenirs for the kids and head back to the boat to sit in the hot tubs again.
We also learned that anytime Becca finds a deal, whatever she buys always seems to be only $4.
FOUR DOLLA!
And this is what a white guy at the pool looks like.
While we were on the boat we also got to celebrate Kyle's NEW JOB!
Last week he interviewed for both SVU and a Detective position with Riverton and accepted the Riverton spot! It's not a pay raise, but will give him some good experience and has a better schedule, which I am excited about. So now he'll be driving an unmarked car and spending more time in the office. Congratulations Kyle!
Later we went to play some of the Trivia games like movie quotes, TV themes, sports, Micheal Jackson, Friends and Harry Potter.
But it was intense!
There was a mad Asian guy there that was in it to win it. During the sports one he was getting so mad at the host for mixing up the answers then still said that he won! Since there weren't any trophies he walked up to the front and said, "I'll take the medal" and we were losing it! Haha
Then we stayed for Jenga.
And we all got medals too!
Corby earned a trophy during the TV theme trivia for doing a skit during the Cops theme song pretending to be tased! A plastic piece of ship on a stick.
Surprisingly Trevor didn't win Harry Potter trivia, even though he only missed like 1 question probably.
Wednesday, September 26th- Sea Day
We all went in on Bingo and won $5 there! Money Money Money!
Then tried to get Corby and Becca to get up on stage for the Love and Marriage game show, but Becca wouldn't make out with Corby!
All you can eat, soft serve ice cream, all day long! That's where it's at.
This here is Phillip. Becca made special friends with him because we apologized for the mad Asian yelling at him and he later sent champagne to Becca and Corby's room!
Creepy or nice?
Thursday, September 27th
We woke up early to eat breakfast in the dining room together one last time.
Then it was time to get off the ship.
So sad it's over.
We spent that night in Vegas again and swam in Becca's pool. Then when we woke up the next morning it was my BIRTHDAY!
I joined the 30 club.
We went to the Las Vegas Temple that morning before heading back to Utah and it has my most favorite Celestial Room ever! Gorgeous windows with light and it's so white and simple.
On our way home we stopped at Peppers Cantina in St. George for lunch then went to Becca's cabin in Parowan to stay one more night before heading the rest of the way home.
Kyle was being sneaky telling us he had to run to Cedar City to rent us a movie from red box to watch that night and Trevor said, "Don't you have to go to Cedar City to get Amber's cake anyway?!"
Haha He keeps birthday secrets as well as Kasen.
So I went with Kyle to get my Dairy Queen Ice Cream Cake and everyone sang to me.
Apparently the extra candle is one to grow on? Never heard of that.
Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes!
My dad won being the first, Jordan won being the last and 4 of my own siblings get the award for forgetting altogether :)
We called Kasen and Tai on Snapchat that night and it was the saddest thing! Kasen was trying SO hard not to cry when he kept saying "I need my dad." Then when we said bye to Tai, she completely lost it! There was no stopping it.
We hurried home so fast the next morning to see them.
Kasen went straight for Kyle, but Tai came to me and must have suffered some serious separation trauma because she had to sleep in our bed with us last night for the first time ever. We tried putting her in her bed and she cried like she has never cried before.
7am though she popped off her pillow and was asking for Kasen. As soon as she did Kasen was on our bed, "Tai! Were you calling for me?!" Haha We love them so much.
What a great week! So many good laughs and learning that Lindsay IS funny, Trevor is the redneck of the group, knows Harry Potter and tells long stories, Kyle says it's not personal, Becca crop dusts Asians, Corby can eat 3 meals in a sitting and I am good at embarrassing Kyle with my singing and dancing.
Also, Kyle doesn't know that Corby went back and bought this picture, but they have big plans to print in on somebody's birthday cake someday! Haha can't wait to see where it will turn up.
