Last night we had thee funnest girls night ever!
Lindsay planned a girls only get away to see Hocus Pocus in the woods in Heber complete with an Airbnb cabin in Midway to have a slumber party for the night.
We got to meet the Sanderson Sisters as soon as we got off the shuttle and got our glow bracelets (which means it was a real party guys)!
Lindsay, Becca, Ashley, Cozette and I all met Lynsee and her friend Stephanie up there at the movie in the woods. Thanks for saving us a spot!
They were having some trouble getting the movie to start, but luckily Becca has it memorized and gave a super authentic commentary for us.
"Emily! Emily!
ugh ummph ugh.
Another glorious morning. Makes me sick!"
And that is about all we saw of the movie before it froze for good and we all left.
The movie tickets were originally for Saturday night, but got rescheduled for Friday because of a rain storm tonight. So there weren't many food trucks there, but luckily Dairy Keene was still open!
Then in the darkness of the night we drove up to the cabin in Midway.
Up the dark dirt road.
Passing the deer, getting thicker into the trees and wondering if Mr. Shay was going to murder us at the cabin. One time Becca had to turn around and we were sure a face was going to be staring at us in her back up camera.
We pulled up and Lindsay tells us the garage is off limits because of the tools. You know the tools that are probably used for cutting up dead bodies!
But we pulled it together and went inside and had a blast!
It was the cutest cabin all decorated for Halloween and they left us some snacks even.
Cozette was our fire wizard and kept us all roasty toasty in the cabin with her fire building skills.
Once we got settled at the cabin Lindsay let us in on a secret that she
had been sitting on for a couple hours. While the moms were away Kyle
and Trevor took to kids to Corby's house to watch the BYU game and all the
kids got to play together downstairs. Well they found some crayons and we got a
video of every wall of Becca's basements colored on ALL OVER! The only
reason we could laugh about it is because the next video we got was of the walls
cleaned up after scrubbing them with magic eraser. Bless their hearts.
We stayed up talking until after 2am and the best news is that we survived the night together!
I am so glad I have these girls! They are there when it doesn't matter, they are there when it does. They are just there and that is all anybody wants in a friend.
Moms need mom friends and moms need girls nights. I love my mom friends so much.
Thank you so much for planning this Lindsay!
