Butterfly Biosphere

This morning we went with our friends to the Butterfly Biosphere at Thanksgiving Point!
It just opened in January and I kept hearing so many great things about it.
It was pretty spectacular. There were giant blue butterflies flying all around us.
Kasen would duck down and scream whenever they flew by him, like a pterodactyl was going to lift him off the ground and carry him away! He really loved it though.
 All the cocoons.
Also, do not wear a hoodie when visiting the butterfly biosphere! It is so hot in there.
I even talked Kasen into going down the big slide by himself. After I went with both he and Tai the first time!

Last Friday I experienced feeling an earthquake for the first time!
We were in bed asleep and our bed started shaking. I thought it might have been Peeka scratching and thumping her leg against our bed so I went back to sleep. Kyle was sure that someone was in there shaking our bed though and jumped up to clear the house before coming back to bed.

Later that day I took EmmaLee out for some birthday sushi!
Then the day got rough after that.
Kasen said his tummy hurt and that he had to poo.
So I pulled into Maverick and pulled him out just in time for him to puke all over the parking lot!
I went in to take him to the bathroom and he threw up again, all over the floor in front of the doors... strawberry oatmeal... Sorry! But I was grateful for the tender mercy of him not spraying it all over our new car.
High five!
So we were on our way home and he starts doing those little painful whimpers of your stomach churning. So I hand him a blue barf bag and tell him to hold it over his mouth! We were literally coming around the corner onto our street. Well he didn't want the bag, he kept dropping it on the floor. Twice more I handed it to him as we pull into the garage. But it was too late.
Throw up all over the back seat and floor of our new car. Nooooo!
Get him inside hand him a bucket while I go clean out the car. Do not leave this bucket.
Come back in and he does not have his bucket. He instead is standing on my couch pillows in the living room as he proceeds to throw up AGAIN!
Go to the bucket!
Bath time.
Then I made him go to bed. With his bucket. Which he attempted to use this time. I appreciate it, but I also had to strip his bed and start the laundry. Which didn't even clean all the throw up off of his sheets. (Don't worry, I put that end at the foot of the bed...)
Bath time again.
Threw up a little bit in the toilet and then insisted he needed to eat popcorn to help his tummy feel better.
BAD IDEA!
After he ate his popcorn, I was changing out DVDs when he decided to leave his bucket on the couch to come throw up on me and the home video DVD in my hand. Ughhhhh
What is so hard about using the bucket?!
I made it through a run on the treadmill without him barfing, but as soon as I got the kids to bed and hopped in the shower I could hear Kasen.
I popped my head outside of the curtain in time to see Kasen puking all over MY bedroom carpet, only feet away from the toilet.
Lucky for me Peeka was inside for that one and finished most of the clean up before I was ever out of the shower. Her one redeeming quality. Cleaning up my kid's vomit when she won't even clean up her own.
Luckily Kasen was totally fine the next day and Tai never did get it.
#tendermercy
We went to Brycen's birthday at Classic Fun Center and they both were doing pretty awesome on the scooters. Tai has much less fear than Kasen when it comes to trying new things.
Kasen's thing lately is to tell me that his tummy is talking whenever he's hungry or wants to eat.
He also comes in and says, "Hi Mom! What are you up to?"
Like where does he learn these funny things?!
Kasen HATES to wear his clothes, BUT when he does, he wears ALL of them!
