Eight After Easter

Kohen's first Easter!
But before Easter weekend was April Fool's Day and Kasen learned all about it at school. He came home with a couple tricks and thought he was so funny giving us all "Brownies." Tai didn't think it was that funny though.
This was also the first Easter we didn't have a cousin Easter egg hunt. We stayed at home the whole weekend. Between conference sessions on Saturday though, Grammy Tammy, EmmaLee and Keslee came over for lunch and we dyed our Easter eggs.
They were working so hard on decorating and dying their eggs. I love just watching them.
This year I bought Kasen a dragon egg dying kit and Tai a unicorn egg dying kit. They turned out pretty cute!

The next morning was Easter and the Easter Bunny brought us lots of fun things for summer.
Kasen and Tai both got jump ropes and watching them learn to use them is one of my new favorite things! Tai jumps and completely the wrong time then ends up falling/sitting down.
Sometimes when Kasen sees me doing my scripture study he'll come ask me to read scriptures to him so they each got their very own Books of Mormon and were so excited. In Kasen's breakfast prayer (over our dairy free German Pancakes) he even said he was thankful for getting a Book of Mormon cause he likes learning about Jesus. Tai wanted to go write in hers cause they've seen me highlight in mine so I told her she had to write about Jesus in it. She came to show me that she wrote, "I love Jesus. Jesus loves me." and she also drew a unicorn.
-Kasen is my kid for sure because when we try to get him to drink water out of a plastic water bottle he tells us he doesn't like that water and will not drink it! Haha I don't like bottled water either, but I will drink it.
-Kasen and Tai have also discovered tomato sandwiches and have eaten on every day for over a week. At first Kasen had asked for toast and tomato slices for lunch. He ended up making it into a sandwich and I've since convinced him to use mayo instead of butter.
-When I ask him what he learned at school he tells me he didn't learn anything because he already knows everything!
Tai was all about the Easter candy too. There really isn't much yummy Easter candy though. Candbury eggs are the only Easter candy I will even eat.
-Tai still brings me dandelions, but now wants me to braid them into her dolls hair. I told her they need to have stems on them to do that, but she told me all the flowers with stems are "still sleeping." She is adorable.
Kasen and Tai got swimming goggles and a connect 4 game. So here they are playing their game whilst wearing their goggles. Haha

The day after Easter Kohen turned 8 Months old!
We ended up going to a pediatric dermatologist 3 weeks ago, who gave us an even stronger steroid prescription for his cheeks. It cleared everything up amazingly. But then after 10 days you have to take a break from the steroids. And then his skin is awful again.
He wakes up every 3 hours at night, but his little hands that wander around while I nurse are adorable. Especially when Kyle rocks him and Kohen falls asleep with his hands in Kyle's beard.

Other than that, I had my first photo shoot of the year doing Stephanie's Senior pictures! She is graduating next month. Super gorgeous and super exciting!
