My Valentines

We spent one night last week painting Valentines to mail to people and then Tai made the cutest Kitty Valentine box to take to school too. She's so creative and crafty! This was the first year my kids had to make a box at home to take to school.
Each day during the month I left hearts on everybody's door, (and Kyle's mirror) telling them why I love them, and the kids would get so excited waiting to see what the next heart would be! Then Tai started leaving hearts on my door too. She's the sweetest.
On Valentine's Day Kohen's friend, Owen, invited us over to decorate sugar cookies again this year! And then I came home to web up the basement with our string maze, that Kohen calls lasers.
Kolt was not impressed with all the string everywhere. He got tangled up in it a few times and was not happy about it.
Kohen still has no idea how to follow the string. He kept just trying to pull it. Since Tai finished first, she was so kind to help Kohen follow his string to his Valentines treat.
Kasen, Kohen and Kolt all got a book with their chocolates and Tai got an affirmations poster to hang in her bedroom.
I also made jello jigglers for the first time, to go with our Chicken Parmesan dinner.
On Tuesdays I take Kohen to story time at the library, and this week they talked about hearts and love. She showed them how to do the I Love You sign with their hands and Kohen made sure to tell her that is for Spiderman webs! Thwip thwip! Haha
McKenna planned a fun Galentine's lunch for all the girls this month and it was fun to catch up with everyone. If you would have told me when I was growing up that McKenna is the cousin I would see the most as adults, I never would have believed you. Crazy how much things can change, but I'm so thankful that she plans stuff and gets the family together.
Grammy made a cute little Valentines box for the kids to open and I added all her sticky notes to the kids doors too. Naomi, Marc and Tommy sent the kids fun googly eyes Valentines with treats too.
So much love!
That night Kyle took Tai on a Daddy Daughter Valentines Date again this year. They went to play mini golf at Fat Cats and to dinner at Waffle Love. We're so lucky to have a Kyle.
Monday he took me out to lunch for our Valentine's date. He had a gift card to get sushi at Miyazaki and it was delicious! We stopped at Cold Stone before picking the kids up from school too.
I love dates with my forever Valentine.
Happy Valentine's Day!
