St. George and Kanarra Falls

Katey, Ashley and I had a trip to Oregon Coast all planned, but it got cancelled so we planned a shorter and closer girls weekend to St. George instead! I really wanted to see Anastasia at Tuacahn so that was our first stop on Friday night. We ate dinner there at their cafe, hoping it wouldn't rain. The show did get stopped once for rain and they used leaf blowers to dry the stage off, but after that the show went on even through a little bit more rain. I was so happy we got to see all of it!
The next morning we went to walk around a Farmer's Market for an hour before lunch at Cafe Sabor. I got fish tacos again, on a taco tour I guess. lol
Then we went to the pool and soak up the sun. It was so relaxing to not have to worry about anybody drowning.
Later that night we went to dinner at Cliffside. We got to eat outside and the view was amazing!
I got a delicious pesto pasta and then we stopped at Nielsen's Frozen Custard for dessert. I was bummed that the hot tub was closed by the time we got back to our AirBnb, but we watched the new mean girls together before going to bed.
On the way home Sunday morning, we stopped to hike Kanarra Falls! I've always wanted to, since we lived  in Cedar City for 2 years and never did.
You have to have a $15 permit to hike there now and it's a 4mile hike. You hike for a bit through the water and it was so cold, but your feet get numb so it's not so bad after that! The slot canyons are gorgeous. Poor Heidi's sandal broke about 1/2 way up so she was using hair ties to keep the sole of her sandal on her foot.
It was also Kyle's birthday so I was hoping we'd make it home in time for me to make him a birthday cake with the kids, but we didn't make it before the kids were all asleep in bed.
Kasen made plans to build a fort with Dad while I was gone and they even got to sleep in it!
It was a fabulous weekend!
