Hearts Day

Happy V-Day everyone!
This year was pretty chill, probably the first one that I didn't even write Kyle a card... pretty sure he doesn't care though.

We made a few fun Valentine cards for FHE last week and mailed them to other people though! Kasen and Tai both thought it was so fun for me to paint their hands. I was super impressed with how well Tai held still to let me stamp her hand print too.

And last night Grandma and Grandpa Forsyth came over to give the kids a little Valentine treat and gift! They loved it!

 Then today they got to play with Grammy Tammy while Kyle and I went on a date! Hubba Hubba

We did a session at the Draper Temple then went to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory!

Kyle had me CRYING laughing in the car! 

He had food on his shirt and I never saw it to tell him! "I have never felt so fat in my life! Give me a napkin. You have a fork in your car, but not a napkin?! I'd rather have tissue on my shirt than crusted chicken. Ya, I bet you're "giving" away that third cheesecake. Don't worry, I'm just cleaning myself."

Poor Kyle.

And how his hair style today made him feel like he should be out selling Vivant Solar in a visor! Haha I love how he makes me laugh. Some of his monologues are the best! And when he sleep talks. Last night he walked out into the hall with his pillow, woke up, then decided to go get a drink before coming back so I wouldn't think he was completely nuts.

I did get him some new basketball shoes and he ordered me The Greatest Showman soundtrack, gave me $ to buy the movie when it comes out, let me order my 2017 blog books AND wrote me a letter! #SCORE

This morning we got up and made the kids pink, heart shaped pancakes! It was so much fun cooking breakfast together.

•  Kasen does an AWESOME penguin impression these days. The hands and his waddle are on point.

• I also love that when I say "I love you too" after he says, "I love you" that he'll reply, "I love you THREE!" When I start he's said "I love you four before!"

• He is the best big brother too because he is always watching out for Tai. He is constantly worried about her falling and will tell me "Tai fall!" or "Get her down!" if it's too much for him. He makes sure to shut the gate at the top of the stairs for that very reason and once when Kyle sat her up on the banister to look over the edge with him Kasen lost it!

• This week Kasen told us he's so frustrated! Little kids using big words is a joy, let me tell you!

 Tai climbs up on this chair all by herself and thinks it is pretty cool to rock on it and say "Bye" while she does.

• She's starting to be more shy and hide her face when someone talks to her.

• She's started dancing though, just a little bounce in her legs and she's used a fork by herself a few times too!

It has been so much fun watching Tai learn and grow as a second child because when we had Kasen it always seemed like the milestones took forever. We were always waiting for them and anticipating them to happen. With Tai I always just have it in my head that she is a baby so when she does something new I am never expecting it. It's always a big surprise realizing that she is big enough to talk and climb and play and have a personality. Makes it super fun and exciting!

 Guys, I legit almost got stuck inside that tunnel slide! It was Tai's first time, but she was all about going down the slides so I tried to stuff myself in there and somehow go down backwards on my tummy so I could hold Tai, but my legs got stuck, so I was this giant egg shimmying myself down the tube.
 After that I kept her by the smaller one so she could go down backwards on her tummy by herself.

I am so in love with my Valentines! FOREVER!
Except Peeka. She's kinda like the dog on Marly and Me- Ya know how they hate his guts then bawl when he actually gets sick and dies. That will probably be Peeka's destiny too.
