Let Them Be Little

I LOVE her toes. Every time she eats they are pushed up to the edge of her high chair.
It is my very most favorite thing.

Tai loves boots and shoes on her hands. If she finds shoes she will walk all around the house wearing them on her hands.
She looks like Lumiere when she has them on! She's also a big fan of putting Kasen's puppets on her hands too.
Always riding backwards on her car. She kicks her feet back so the actual car drives forwards though.
I love when Kasen asks me to take his picture!
And when he makes dinner for me and Tai. A great reason to have kids close together is that they play together and it is so entertaining to just watch it happen. And also a nice break too.
They are both little monkeys, climbing everywhere. Tai still can't get onto the couch by herself, but when Kasen has a cushion on the floor she loves using it to get up onto the couch by herself. She runs back and forth across the couch, throwing herself down on the cushion at either end.
She can climb up onto the table now too.
And of course they also love climbing all over me!
It's nice that Kasen is able to get up into his little nook to play all by himself though. I never even had to show him how, he figured that out a long time ago.
Also, he's potty trained! As long as he is naked at home and awake...
Always wants a show on, even though he's not usually paying much attention to them. Every so often he'll poke his head out to watch.
I love having a play room downstairs. Saves me a lot of time because instead of cleaning it multiple times a day, like I do the upstairs, I only clean up the downstairs every few days!
We had dessert at our house one Sunday night and Hank and Kasen were so cute riding on his car. The battery was dying so it was barely moving and Hank said they were running out of energy!
  • It cracks me up when Kasen tells me something then says, "I promise" or "need to listen".
  • Tai will be full on crying, but as soon as I say, "do you want milk?!" She instantly stops and heads for the kitchen!
  • She says "No" a lot now and "Bye" every so often.
  • When she eats her snacks in nursery she puts her foot up on the table.
  • She is always laying on Peeka. She'll take her bottle and just lay down on her to drink it.
However, Peeka is always trying to lay on me. If I stand anywhere for too long she will always be laying on my feet. Some people ask why we keep her. Well, I had dogs as a kid and always liked them and my kids like her so I want them to have that experience. 2. I'm hoping she'll grow out of most of her obnoxiousness. 3. Having an awful dog makes me like my children more ;) and 4. Security. When your husband is a cop and people threaten to kill his family on a regular basis, having a dog to maybe help deter them from doing that sounds like a great idea.
We recently played hide and go seek with Kasen and had so much fun! I counted to 10 then went to go find him and Kyle and the closer I got the more I could hear Kasen giggling. He would get SO excited to be found. When I hid with him under his bed and Kyle was looking for us Kyle kept saying, "Kasen, where are you?" and finally Kasen shouted, "Under my bed!" because he was so excited! Then he counted and Kyle and I hid from him, but he was expecting us to be in the same hiding spots as the time before. It was a blast!

We went outside to play for the first time this year. Which is sad because it has been so warm that we could have a long time ago! Kasen insisted on riding in back this time though. He knows the back lays down and likes to "sleep" then sit up and tell me he woke up. When we went to the play ground there were just a bunch of teenagers there playing a game. Kasen kept counting to 10, wanting to play with his "friends" too. Pretty soon Tai will be able to go play with him though!
We watched the Eagles beat the Patriots for the Superbowl on Sunday. But more importantly, we lost $16 to Kyley and Whitney! Oh well, the food was still good. I ate more jalapeno poppers than anyone, even though Kyle still doesn't believe I like them enough to just leave some for me without the bacon. It's okay cause Jordan eats the bacon that I peel off of them.
Kyle smoked some delicious salmon, but we could not get Kasen to eat it. He insisted on eating only gold fish. So we all ate our fish together! I love that he scoots Tai over to be by him to eat too.
We also fed the missionaries this week so I told Kasen they were coming and how the missionaries teach people about Jesus and help them get baptized like Jesus was baptized. When the door bell rang he ran to the door saying that missionaries and Jesus were here! I love when he tells me about Jesus and how he is coming to our house to sit on our chair and Kasen wants to tell him fruit snacks and apple sauce!

Also, I have another embarrassing story!
Kyle's family has a group chat on Snapchat, ya know with bitmojis and everything.
Well, while you scroll through pictures to send, if you touch something it gets sent, there is no send button that gives you a chance to make sure you are sending what you really want to be sent.
So, a while ago I was trying to figure out how to put a sticker over a naked Kasen in a Snapchat that I wanted to send. No idea how it worked.
Apparently the penis part that I tried to cover with a sticker got cut out and saved in my phone as a sticker! When I saw it months later and tried to delete it, it got sent out to Kyle's entire family. #momfail #soawful
