We got to spend a mostly amazing few days at Flaming Gorge with Kyle's family again this summer!
However, we did not make it through the switchbacks without Tai throwing up in the car. And then 2 more times after that.
Sunday we went to Sacrament meeting at the Dutch John ward then after eating a big Mountain Man breakfast for lunch we went on the dam tour. I've been to Flaming Gorge 9 different years and this was my very first time going on the dam tour! The kids got to feed the fish at the bottom of the dam and afterwards Kasen was telling us all about how generators make power.

He's in trouble though because not only did he jump in the water with his sunglasses and lose those, but he also managed to kick his fishing pole off of the back of the boat and lose that too!
He slept on the edge of the bed near the kids to get them back to sleep when they woke up though so I super appreciated that. Kasen and Tai snuggling on our air mattress once it was "morning time" and telling us they are the "King of the sleeping" was the best.
We kept telling Kasen to get into the water to pee, but he insisted on pulling his shorts down to pee off the back of the boat. He didn't wait to make sure nobody was swimming back there either...
When his hair is short you can see the brown spot in his hair really well.
Whenever Kelly would move the boat away from the rocks Tai was always so concerned about leaving daddy! She loves her daddy.
Later that night we made banana boats in the fire. I've still never heard of anyone else who makes banana boats, but the kids all loved eating them. Why wouldn't they when they are stuffed with chocolate chips, toffee and marshmallows?!
This camping trip's edition of toys that Tai is attached to was her little baby bottle and this PEZ which she calls Smarty cause she thinks PEZ candies are actually smarties.
"Mom, take my picture!"
Both Kasen and Tai got out on the knee-board for the first time and they were so happy, which made me so happy! Last year we couldn't get Kasen out on the tube, but once Kelly asked who else wanted to go Tai came running to the back of the boat yelling, "I do! I do! I do!" Once she went Kasen decided he was ready for a turn.
Good job Kyle for dragging behind the boards for so long without losing your shorts.
Kasen was not happy with Kyle for taking Kasen with him when he finally had to let go!
We got some thumbs up AND Spiderman hands.
Kasen especially loves that flag because it is orange and that is his favorite color.
He also had a permanent orange mustache because of all the orange Gatorade he drank while we were there!
They had the best time driving the boat and eating all the kinds of licorice.
Thanks for another fun year at Flaming Gorge!

I love seeing them conquering their fears and being brave enough to try new and scary adventures!
