Granite Flats

Over the weekend we got to go camping with Grammy Tammy at Granite Flats Campground up American Fork Canyon. I got there Saturday night and we headed straight up to Silver Lake to go fishing.

 All the kids had a turn reeling in a fish! We got Kasen to touch his, but Tai refused to touch her fish. We brought them back to camp to cook though and I think Tai asked for more fish to eat probably 5 times! She loved it! Kasen agreed to eat the fish as long as it wasn't going to wiggle inside him or while he ate it!

 Kasen loved going to the mountains (the trails behind our campground). We also colored on leaves underneath paper and the boys caught a beetle in Kasen's bug jug.

 After Emma's family left we played hide-n-seek for a good hour. Once I hid in the hammock and Grammy hid in her car those were the two new favorite spots they wanted to hide. They loved feeding Grammy's dogs their dog treats too.

 Tai attached herself to the bug jug tweezers and that glow stick for the entire time we were camping! She carried those 2 things everywhere.

 We made s'mores,  a couple log cabins, put on tattoos from Presley's birthday party bag and later mom came in our tent to play a card game.

 But that night sleeping in the tent was ROUGH. Kasen woke up in the middle of the night crying and I realized that he had peed everywhere! All the way up to the neck of his pajamas, through his sleeping bag and all over the air mattress. So I am trying to change him into new underwear, but he is sleep crying and would not stand up. I finally got him changed and back to sleep when I hear racoons chewing on dog food right outside our tent door. Once they left Tai woke up crying. "I want you!!" 

So I have my arms around her and then she's crying cause she can't find her tweezers, so I find her tweezers and then she's crying cause her sock is missing. So I find her sock, put it back on, but then she lost her tweezers again! I find the tweezers and she's crying that she wants her waterbottle. I was so done. I said no and rolled over to let her just cry herself back to sleep.

In the morning her face was smashed right up against Kasen's pee spot on the air mattress.

Poor girl!

That day Kyle came up to meet us and we went fishing again.

We told Tai we were going fishing and she put her tweezers and glow stick down to run around to find her pink fishing pole to go fishing!

 We weren't catching anything this time so we put the poles away and started skipping rocks for a while.
