This week's Come Follow Me lesson fit in perfectly with some things I'd read about and have been thinking about recently.
I follow Al Carraway (The Tattooed Mormon) on Instagram. Sometimes I read what she writes, not always, but this week I followed the link to her blog for the first time.
And I LOVED what she had to say about being able to wait for the bigger miracle!
God is ALWAYS good.
"But the biggest miracle we are trying to attain is NOT prevention. If it were about avoidance and prevention then the bigger miracles would never happen."
Christ had the ability to heal Lazarus before he ever died, he had the ability to get himself down off of the cross and live, he had the ability to calm the stormy sea before the winds and rains ever arrived. But if He would have, then the bigger miracles never would have happened.
The miracles so big, that in time, none could not believe in Christ.
God doesn't wait because He doesn't care, it's because He knows all will be well regardless. "Because God IS there. He is leading and He is perfect."
"So, what if every step is the miracle?"
"God is good even when our situation is not, because He knows something we don't."
And nothing can separate us from the love He has for each of us.
Thank you Al for the wonderful reminder.
