It took some convincing to get Kasen to be Woody instead of Spiderman, but we did it!
I just love family themed costumes too much.
When I told him he could be both (meaning Spiderman for some parties and Woody for others) he thought I meant he would be both at the same time, like a half and half deal...
Once he committed to Woody though he was very strict about his costume. "Mom, I need a belt and those things on Woody's boots and Woody's shirt has squares on it, but that's okay and Woody's badge is yellow, not gray." I'm super glad he relaxed about it and was happy being Woody.
They even held hands because "Woody loves Bo Peep."
I thought about buying the Spirit Halloween Woody costume, but I just couldn't justify spending the money on a onesie that wouldn't even keep him warm to trick-or-treat. There are pajamas cuter than that costume. So I just had to piece it together by hand! Dyed the yellow shirt myself and everything. I think I spent half of what that other costume cost too.
Luckily I liked the Bo Peep costume at Costco cause I couldn't have pulled that one together by myself!
"I'm Woody, Howdy Howdy Howdy!"
Found the perfect shoes for her costume at DI, $2. Love when that happens!
We went to Kasen's little Halloween program at preschool yesterday and he was the biggest GRUMP in the world. He didn't sing a single word of his songs for us.
Then at about midnight last night Tai got out of bed and threw up everywhere.
I was hoping it was just a one time thing, but when she woke up an hour later and threw up again I set up our camp out in front of the fireplace in the front room.
She woke up about every hour to throw up. A little after 6:30 she had thrown up 6 times. And then one more time around 11:30am.
The worst part of being a parent is watching your babies be sick. The morning of your favorite holiday. The day before leaving on your dream Disney vacation! Luckily she's seemed better after a long nap.
So Grammy Tammy came down, we made our traditional Halloween dirt cup and white chicken chili and then headed out trick-or-treating with our friends around the neighborhood!
And the Fife's made scones again! That is Kasen on the left side listening to Woody's Roundup that Brother Fife offered to play him on the banjo!
Tai didn't care much for walking up to actually trick-or-treat, but didn't want to go home either. She just held her candy and came along for the ride.
Kasen would run ahead and then let us know which houses had nobody home. We kept reminding him to only ring the doorbell once and only take one piece of candy! He kept wanting to get the candy himself, but by the end of the night even when people said he could take two he'd say, "My parents say only one." He's so cute.
I love my Toy Story family!
Happy Halloween
