Light The World

I love the Light the World campaign with the reminders and ideas of how to serve and think about others. I want so much to be able to have ideas come to me and just act on them, but I overthink things. Way too much.
For example: yesterday the challenge was to highlight someone's example of Christlike service on social media. I still haven't done it. Not because I'm not grateful or don't want to share light or can't think of anyone that has served, but because in my mind, I'm somehow picking the most Christlike person in my life, in turn telling everyone else that they aren't as good as the person I picked to highlight. When it should be a simple act of gratitude. Welcome to my brain.
So I'm going to mention many.
And I'm going to try to be specific because those are the things that I like reading about. Not the ones that say, "so and so would give you the shirt off their back." If that's not something that they have actually done for someone than share an example of how they HAVE served. I love hearing real stories and examples of people being Christlike.
 First my grandparents.
They give so much Christlike service it is unreal! They have a giant garden and then after they bottle all of their food for the year they give it away to anyone and everyone. Because they are just that Christlike. They are seriously the most generous people I know and this is just one example of that. I'm so grateful for their example of service and sharing their abundance they work so hard to have.
And then I am grateful for so much other Christlike service I have received from so many family and friends. The little things that are huge to me.
The ones always up for a lunch date and still try to pay even when I invited them, the one who made a poster for my door when I ran a 10K, the one who does hot cocoa for a cause to help others, the one who brought flowers and a balloon to me at work on my birthday, the one always sharing her testimony of the gospel, the one who sent pizza to my house on an emotionally hard day and did secret Santa with me, the ones eager to help get our tire fixed, the one always sharing homemade treats with us, the ones who invite us over for dinner, all the ones who watch our kids so that Kyle and I can go to the temple together each month, each one who gave me a hug back in July (I remember all of you), the neighbors that invite everyone over for scones and the neighbors that passed along the neighborhood snowball fight to our house. The ones always inviting and including me and my kids in their activities, the ones who try to understand, and of course the one that shares all my stress with me and tries to lessen it and the 2 little ones always saying "I love you", forgiving me and making new friends. They are my most Christlike examples of service.
Thank you for all of your examples of how to love like Christ loves.
