For our Christmas present this year, Grammy Tammy took us on the North Pole Express and I will remember it forever! It was so much fun and so freaking magical!
We left early enough to grab a shake at the Dairy Keen in Heber, in keeping with the train theme. I shared a yummy peppermint brownie one with Tai, which worked out perfect cause it was pink, just like her favorite color!
At the platform we found out that EmmaLee is pregnant and due in August! Super exciting news!
Before we left our house I was telling Kasen that he needed to finish his dinner because there wouldn't be food on the train and I didn't want him to be hungry. Well, we had read the Polar Express the night before and he told me there was a chef on the train.
Before we left our house I was telling Kasen that he needed to finish his dinner because there wouldn't be food on the train and I didn't want him to be hungry. Well, we had read the Polar Express the night before and he told me there was a chef on the train.
One of the first things they did when we boarded was introduce the chef and bring everyone a chocolate chip cookie and hot cocoa. Kasen immediately let me know that, "I told you there was food on the train!"
As we were getting on Tai announced, "This is AMAZING!" Then she proceeded to sing and dance to "Let it Go" while the conductor passed the mic around for everyone to have a turn singing. Kyle even did a little lip sync.
So we ate yummy cookies, did cheers to drink yummy hot chocolate and then sang and danced with the elves and our conductor. The elves even showed us a fun new dance! "Stir the cocoa, stir the cocoa"
The conductor even let the kids try on his hat and showed them how to flip it onto their heads. Kasen did it twice! Super impressive :)
Then they busted out some mistletoe and held it up over everyone for some kisses. I was lucky and got a kiss from both Kyle AND Kasen. hubba hubba
The train stopped for some reindeer on the tracks and not long after that we looked out the window and saw Santa waving at us as we passed the North Pole!
He got on the train with us and came to ask Kasen and Tai what they want for Christmas. I was surprised that Tai didn't hide her face this time. She wouldn't speak, but nodded when Santa asked her if she wants a dolly! Haha
Each of us got a bell and as Kasen was shaking it he started yelling. "I believe! I believe! We all believe!" Tai keeps calling hers a door bell. I think we've almost convinced her that it's a jingle bell.
The elves came by again and shook each of their bells to tell us which reindeer it came from. Kasen's came from Prancer and Tai's came from Donner.
