Kyley and Jordan bought a trailer! So we planned a quick camping trip with them for their maiden voyage at 5 Mile Pass! We had to stay close enough to take Kasen to his soccer game and also be close enough to have service to watch General Conference all weekend long. It was pretty darn dusty and dirty, and the flies in the trailer were insane, but the kids didn't mind at all.
Our truck was still at the auto body shop so Jordan even went back to pull our trailer out there for us! Super nice of them!
The kids made it through the first session with treats and Conference Bingo, but then we let them go play outside while we watched the rest. Bentley spent the weekend shooting his BB gun and the other kids liked hiking up to the top of the hill and playing games in our trailer. Kyle and Jordan played a mean game of Horseshoes then Grandpa Kelly and Wayne came to visit for a few hours during the second session too.
Bentley was so awesome and got paper and colored pencils out for all the kids to draw their own targets to shoot with his BB gun. Collins was not anticipating holes being shot through her masterpiece though and was not a happy camper about that. Literally.
Then during the second session we all convinced Kasen to let us try pulling out his loose front teeth. It took 3 of us trying, but finally Kyle popped one of them out. When I tried the floss broke in half and Kasen just laughed at me that it didn't work!
Jorden spent most of conference making this glorious boondoggle. It's pretty impressive. There's even a song. We also played a few card games, I won the contest of who could suck on a watermelon sour patch the longest and we continued our Harry Potter movie marathon.
So excited to have more camping buddies! Woo woo!
The day before we went camping we started another round of Halloween Spooks! This is the 8th, maybe the 9th year that we've started this spooktacularly fun tradition. I love that Kasen and Tai love it. And when Kasen gets too scared to go to his assigned house, Tai goes with him for support to get the job done, in their perfect disguises.
